What do you refer to as "their own"? Are you saying that white women expect black men they are married to and have children/family with not to commit adultery with women of any race? You bet!

Any body of people can be dysfunctional; however, I have noticed a glaring deficit in the delivery of mental health care for African Americans. For the most part some do not want counseling (nor do they think they need it) or therapy from 'White People'; and yet there are many who do want these services. But, that doesn't mean that they do not need help from those in the industry. It would be better to ask for HELP from professionals than each other sometimes. Too often the price of help that we ask from the people in our lives comes with a higher price tag than you initially would think.

I think the first problem about studies is that they are very generalized. Also I think the studies that you refer to, site relationships amongst black people in poor and underserved communities. Studies that were done in poor and underserved communities of white people, of which there are many, have very similar results.
Lastly, studies state the findings and draw conclusions from data, what you infer from these studies/data is on you.
