WHITE WOMEN AND BLACK MEN: STEREOTYPES AND MYTHS: Blackplanet.com discriminates against whites!

My husband and I thought it may be our computer, so we went to my college and used a few other computers too. There were quite a few white members who sent me emails after I posted a comment about it on there, they said they had the same problem. I have contacted the blackplanet people, and they don't respond. I just thought it was a little more than a coincidence!

"sweetheart",
the only reason i asked you whether or not race was a criteria for signing on was for the whole legality purpose, not to doubt you and what you were saying. my hmmmm statement was aimed at blackplanet.com for requiring individuals to list their race and not having it as an option instead of a requirment. thanks anyway for answering my question, however it was that you meant for it to come across.

Let me explain it for you sweetheart.
When you apply for an account there, they ask you your race on your application, so yes, your race does effect it.
Seems kind of coincidental to me that when she logged in, or anyone white we used logged in, they had problems, but the black didn't. Seems strange does it not? I mean if they don't want whites on the site, just say so, despite it being illegal and all, just be honest.
HMMMMMMMM

maybe i'm not understanding or i am missing something. is "filling in your race" a criteria for logging on? i don't understand why your race would be an issue to logging on to a site. hmmmmm.

Do any of you visit the site blackplanet.com? My husband has been amember for awhile now, and he finally convinced me to join. We use the same computer, but for some reason, i am either not able to log on, or have difficulty logging on, while he has no problems. We tried an experiment where we used our computer as well as other computers, using different names, different emails, and different ethnic backgrounds. Everytime one of our black people logged on, they had no problems, but almost everytime one of our white people logged on, their had problems.
I just thought I would make other people aware of what kind of site it is!
