Eating like loving can lead to excessive habitual inclinations. Its what you eat and the time in which you eat. Eating, if you study the history of the human race had taken on enormous ritualistic approaches, especially in our own previous technological societal developments on how we work, sleep, developed a family structure, pursued mates etc. Our current eating pattern was established based on a mechanistic evolutionary design from the agricultural revolution (first phase), to the industrial revolution (second phase) and now into this new age the cybernetic revolution (the third phase). For us humans, it is not a matter if we eat ourselves into oblivion due to our excessive leisure time brought on by technology, primarily, the computer, but as our machines become more endowed with super intelligence in the future, that we humans become more fit in how we live out our lives, not through obesity, but in a new approach of being supermen and superwomen

This should be done in terms of fitness and health, be it in what we eat, how we exercise, how we seek fulfillment in sex, and how we tame our restless mind that continually tries to control us. Eating excessive is a mental disorder, eating less is a mental disorder. We as humans must find a balance in our lives to be our own masters and let not others or things (the computer) do it for us. Not even in the "rise of the intelligent machines" that are coming. We are the masters of ourselves, do not forget that my dear. ~ Roberto

And, LIVE to EAT because if you are not alive you cannot eat. Eating is OK. You have my permission to eat food preferably at regular meal-times. Otherwise, eat food every chance you get!!

There was a time when big women were considered to be beautiful more so than they are now. But, I have noticed an alarming increase in anorexic females in our local schools. These poor girls are afraid to eat. Something is terribly wrong here. The media is pushing this image of 'thin' and so too, the medical establishment. We are being brainwashed by this message that thin is healthy. What extreme thiness use to mean was that people did not have enough to eat. However, the society we live in now is working hard to take away peoples appetites even though we are surrounded by food..I think one of the problems might be that fewer and fewer families and singles are having to eat alone. Therefore, they lose their desire to eat. It is with a great effort that one will force themselves to eat when they do not really want to. Remember: EAT to LIVE.
