The only way I have found to lessen the damage of Divide and Conquer attacks is to ask Jesus to take and bind this evil strategy and do away with it. Then, I go about my business and live by the Golden Rule as best I can. In additon, praying for our enemies has unexpected results and far reaching implacations. Sometimes our own worst enemy could even be ourselves. In any case, it certainly can be hard to pray for those who persecute you. However, it is the best thing to do under the circumstances. That way we do not get locked up in HATE with each other. Adversity is a word that comes to mind when I think of struggle against such powerfully bad forces.
