Something to THINK about:
When my son attended high school he was totally amazed at the insensitive remarks made by black girls concerning white girls at his school who knew his mother was also white. And yet, they would come up to him and ask him why he dated white girls but didn't date them.
Later on ...he dated black women and a variety of women. But, in those early years he was put off by the girls in his high school who made derogatory comments about white people. He could not feel comfortable going out with them as long as they had an issue with white women/people. He would not betray himself or me. Why would he date or go steady with a (predjudiced) person that he couldn't introduce to his mother for obvious reasons? So, asking him why he only went with white girls was probably harrassment more than anything else. If they had been really interested in him they would not have been so tactless.
