This country is the laughing stock of the world. It appears that certain favored groups are let into this country and are allowed to take advantage of all our social services that many American born citizens cannot get, (we pay for it with our taxes) yet we do nothing about it. I blame both the Democrats and the Republicans for this mess. Anon, you are right there is a bias here, and all it will do is tear this country apart someday. This country is becoming Balkanized. roberto, i'm in cali and see this firsthand. i have always wondered (well, i do know why...) why russian immigrants are given the open door policy. i live in a city with many russian immigrants. they are given so much when they come here, welfare, food stamps, etc., yet they drive new cars - they are definitely car crazy! myself, i would prefer to see more immigrants from africa and the caribbean, but we know that won't happen, will it?

i wonder if the recent spy fiasco re russia will slam the door shut...

Another explosive front in the culture war in the years ahead is illegal immigration of non-whites by the right wing who are nervous about the uncontrolled and increasing number of non-whites as a result of the recent census, which caught a lot of people by surprise.

Several times in the past two weeks I've heard comments from callers across the country on conservative radio talk shows about their concern on how the racial makeup of the country is being changed too rapidly and that more interracial datings and marriages will result. One case in point a caller on Rush Limbaugh's radio show was concern that the Western states like Iowa, Utah, and Wyoming are having too many hispanics coming into those states that will tip the racial scale in those states in twenty years, if the present rate of immigration growth continues.

Another caller said on Micheal Savage's show "Savage Nation" on his theme " Language, Borders and Culture", "we have tried to keep out having too many blacks coming into this country, why is it we cannot keep out or control the hispanics". Why no concern about the illegal Canadians or Europeans coming into the country? Some things will never change. ~ Roberto
