I certainly agree with your sentiments. As far as the poll was concerned those in favor of adult content on this site won by a landslide. Those that voted against it were more then likely the few that post comments regularly on this board. Sex has its place but as Anon2000 has already mentioned its important to have at least one site that isn't sexually oriented especially when it comes down to interracial relationships between white women and black men. For awhile this site met that standard, and the members who wrote frequently on this board fended off would be racists and bias ones who would often proclaim white women and black men interaction to be mostly about sex. Now, lo and behold, this site has joined the ranks of many other interracial porn sites by having a section with so called adult content as if there already wasn't enough of that on the internet as is. Bearing in mind this is the webmaster's site and he can do with it what he pleases. If people here don't like the idea of having adult content they don't have to come to this site at all or go into the adult area of the board which is not the issue at hand but rather the principle of having this interracial site that was wholesome enough to not have "adult content" spin in the opposite direction and have that very content which helps to feed negative views about white women and black men relationships. My personal opinion is that its being done for money but I could be wrong. Sad thing is all of this didn't seem to have any momentum until MAXIMUS decided that this site should have more "sexual expression." Now all of a sudden this so called MAXIMUS is talking of getting married and settling down AFTER he has accomplished his objective. How convenient. I am not a conservative, but a Red/Greens: a Progressive, Christian Green. I, however, don't see Thomas as a sellout. A sellout to what? I don't think that you are a hypocrite Anon, but I think that a lot of white liberals are. I think that they think public school is good for those poor black and brown children trapped in the system, but it isn't for their children in suburbia or the same inner city. I work with those types. I ask them where do they send their kids, they say, "we moved out of the city to find good public schools--but we agree with Gore against the voucher system". The poor can't move(esp. the minorities who are not wanted and discriminated in renting and purchasing) and all they want is the same choices as white middle class people have. What I think is hypocritical about white liberal women/feminist(and I love feminists) is that I can't understand the oes who scream about patriarchy, and white male power structure, but they still marry them, therefore keeping their white privilege and continuing the white patriarchal structure. Why haven't they left it for the many men of color? Some have left it, some have become lesbian(I applaud them for attempting to break the back of the patriarchy), but it is the ones who remain in the white power structure that I find hypocritical. We all talk a great came of multiculturalism and diversity since the 60's, but we have spit in the face of MLK and become more seperatist than ever.

I am not sure if it is easier for a conservative man being with a liberal or a progressive woman. As a progressive man, I find it easier to be with a progressive or conservative woman. I believe that progressives and conservatives(anarchists/communists and fascists are the extremes not progressives and conservatives), are more principled than centrists. Centrists tend to give up their principles for whatever is popular. I've heard centrists/liberals say, "I'm moving to the suburbs because it is safer and cleaner and schools are better. That shows a lack of principles and integrity. Why not stick it out in the cities, create community with a diverse group of people, with an intact infastructure--instead of causing more traffic, more sprawl, more loss of the environment. But I guess that is what is you get from fence riders, white flight.

i guess my problem is with the folks on the far left or far right. they SCARE the shyt out of me (clarence thomas). i hate to admit this, but actually i'm somewhat physically attracted to him. however, the thought of his and the "white male establishment's" belief system being forced on me (i.e., abortion) or other women is repulsive...i don't hate wm, but i feel too many of them have a sense of entitlement that isn't warranted. yes, white privilege...

I have dated and been married to liberal, conservative and progressive women. I loved them all in their own unique ways. I see past the political differences when we have more in common than that. I enjoy the conversations with conservatives, they have principles which I may or may not agree with, but I appreciate their passion. I can't stand people who don't want to hear anothers opinion or afraid to have a debate on the issues. In my home, as opposed to many homes I have encountered, Politics and religion are two subjects that are imperative for discussion. What we don't discuss is money and careers, I find that in bad taste. Leave work at work, focus on other things important in the world.
I must admit, progressive women(Greens, Socialist,feminists) are so sexy. They stand up, uncompromisingly so in the face of the status qou and fight for their beliefs. They are not worried about careers, makeup, or position. I find them the most attractive as a partner and mate. Secondly, I find the conservative woman(Ariana Huffington, Mary Maitlan, Condi Rice) as attractive, smart, witty and principled. My last choice is the liberal. The ones that I have met, not counting you Anon2000, and the one that I was married to, have been wishy washy and hypocritical on alot of principled subjects. Issues of Inner city public schools,the US census, integration, the environment, democracy and voting rights, race relations. I have had dates with women who have told me and other friends, to not make a big deal out of a racist using the N word in our midst. She didn't want to cause a scene. I've had others knowingly work for corporations they knew were polluters or corrupt. They would compromise their liberal principles often. Putting their kids in private schools, while saying they support public school but only for the poor kids in the inner city. I have heard it all, and it saddens me. I know that not all liberal women are like that, however, the ones I keep meeting continue to say the same things.

Here is a way to deal with the problem. You can tweak the website to use cookies. When someone signs up for the website, the website will check to see if there is a cookie stored on the computer. If not, there will be a cookie made kept on their computer with a certain name. Inside that cookie will have a randomly generated 6 digit alphanumerical code, that is also stored on the server. If the person is removed by the webmaster, the cookie remains on the computer, so when they try to sign up again, the cookie will be present. The server will check the code, and if the code matches with one from the "banned" list on the server, the person will be denied the permission to sign on.

I think Derrick/Rashad comes here with the intent to harrass because at the moment he/she has a captive auidence. He can't really go up to IR couples on the street and attempt to make their lives as miserable as his/hers, but he can try to do it here. He is of course woefully failing. He/she spends so much time trying to tear the people down, but this just demonstrates the profound insecurity about his or her blackness and self-hate he or she has.

But then again anybody that makes statements like bacon, eggs, and corned beaf are "real black folks food," and that skiing is a "white thing" doesn't really have too much going of him or her in the first place.
