Ted kennedy died today. Thought many may not agree with him on many of his causes it is hard not to ignore this giant of the Senate who has such an impact on this country. Rest in peace old liberal lion, rest in peace and thank you for being there when so many needed you most in this nation's most critical times.
a very sad day...his sister eunace died just two weeks ago...it almost seems like the end of a dynasty...it makes me catch my breath thinking all over again about the sudden death of his nephew john junior who many of us thought would be leading our country one day...now teddy will be laid to rest with his two slain brothers in arlington cemetary...big shoes to fill when it comes time to appoint someone to his senate seat...looking forward to watching the abc special tonight on his legacy...the kennedy's really are the closest thing that americans have ever had to a royal family... lippy
Even though I know he will leave us,it is still hard to let go since he was one of the greatest pols of all time. Democrats on the fence, get off your asses and make this man proudass that medical bill and f*%k the GOP.
Love him or hate him, he was instrumental in starting Head Start and Job Corps, both have producted great results for the poor. He was also a champion fo the immigrant youth I teach. His shoes will be tough to fill. Here is the latest, will see who my choices are on election day http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_kennedy_successor
Ted Kennedy did a lot of things in help his fellow man. The ones who hate him are the ones who dislike IR,the rights for Blacks and other minorities. I remember well when the rednecks of Southie hated him for his support of busing in Boston. Meanwhile at Fox there are a lot of crock tears and words like "He is a true Liberal" and he is not like Jack and Bobby. Those folks forgot that Bobby in his final years fought for the poor.
