How do I know? Mrs Nose and I awoke this morning to kids doing the "snow day dance" in the doorway of our bedroom.

I thought it was a flashback to the Jackson 5

Denver too. Going to be shoveling today unless my nice neighbor with the snowblower comes along. :)

Atlanta is pretty much shut down. I can't get to work and those fools sent me a recorded message that stated "the Federal Reserve will be open for business" while all the other smaller banks are closed. I called in, screw them..LOL

I have my fingers crossed that it's done , snow really fucks up my day when you live in a Village and they don't bother to grit it.

always makes me laugh that the country knows its coming but the councils fail to grit till way after its hit. that stuff we had in november it took me a week to get out, i live in a city but still only the bus routes got grit

Lol the only thing they do "when they know it's coming" is hope on a fart and a prayer that "it doesn't come"

Ahh well I won't winge to much once I've dug my car out from the drive its not too bad as fresh snow isn't impossible to drive on, it's the high traffic areas that they don't grit that scares me.

Lol somebody abandoned there Motorbike on the A2 an ungritted part of the
A2 and I was in traffic on an incline my car stopped ok and I was sat there a lil while... then my car just sort of rotated on the spot and slowly......slowly tapped this motorbike (3ft from the curb might I add) luckily enough I got out and it was fine my car and the motorbike.

Gotta love Britain not gritting a major through road like the A2.

I'm here in Atlanta and this city isn't used to this type of weather but Denver! Sorry there is no excuse for stupid shit like that be happening!! People in Denver should be accustomed to snow!

LA isn't that Colorado Spings not Denver? If it is that is 1.5 hours south of us. I am pretty sure it's in the Springs.

It's our first big snow of the winter. A lot of it was last week we have been 50's and near 60 temps.....so warm ground. The snow started off as rain changing over so there is a layer of slick under the snow.

I went to my friend's apt. in the middle of Denver yesterday and what would normally be a 25 minute trip, was over an hour each way. Mostly people in cars going soooo slooooow. I have an suv so I could have made it quicker without all the crazies in cars on the road.

Jordan I hope you're not one of those SUV drivers who think their invincible and are the first to end up in the snow drifts. :smt042

I must admit I saw quite a few 4 wheel drives/Suv's getting stuck in the Snow and having to be pushed over here.
Either they didn't know how to switch from 2 to 4 wheel drive or the weight of the vehicle wasn't doing them any favours.

No way. Never had an accident in my life. Was in one when I was two years old but I didn't cause it. :p

I drive according to conditions. My brakes have to stop the vehicle and 4 WD doesn't help there.

I have an suv more for mountain stuff than around Denver. Several friends have places in the mountains and there are things to do in the high country that requires four wheel drive. Also going up for weekends you just can't count on the road conditions and add in people getting up to ski.
