Reconciling the pain of racism w/ your preference

I wanted to re-start this topic in a new thread because I think it's an interesting subject, but the other thread is straight-up stupid...

    ---

Anyway, I reconcile my preference with society's racism by knowing a few things:

    1. America is home. I've never set foot in Africa, and would not know whether to turn right or left the moment I stepped off the boat, so my back is against the wall right here. That means I do what I want and t.c.o.b. when someone tries to impose that ol' bullshit on me.

    2. Anti-black racism comes from many angles, not just white. Plenty of people who you'd regard as black even, are bitterly racist toward black ppl. And it can be as spiteful and ignorant as white racism. So what does my girl have to do with that? Nothing. What does she have to do with white racism? Nothing.

    3. There's no such thing as "pure racism". Many people are racist against black people because of other character flaws -- small-minded envy (including the sexual thing), short-man complex, had a bad day and need a socially sanctioned target to take it out on, hate you because they want to be you, animalistic fears, sadism, (& did I mention envy?) etc., etc. In the absense of those flaws, a "white" person is just as good as a black person who doesn't have those flaws. So what do these flaws have to do with my girl? Nothing.

    4. If someone is racist, my choice of woman (& her choice of me) has a bonus -- it fucks them up mentally, and shows them their ol' racist world is crumbling.

    5. My choice also builds bridges if people can see that a ww and a bm really can be happy together and not see each other as black or white, and that a black man can actually see ww as beautiful and vice-versa. In fact, rebelliousness (against a whole lot of things) is one (repeat: one) of the things that makes interracial dating appeal to me...

...This list could go on, but you get the picture...

    What about you?

In agreement to reading your well-written and profound post, I have to add to it that all those reasons of anti-black racism you mentioned can take on several dimensions of itself as an outlet for release, like in politics, finance, and even in social eateries.

Why, thank you, Sardonic Genie! :D

And may I add that I'm not surprised that this thread has just one response, while its "evil twin" (below) took off rather quickly...

    Yeesh!

I like #4 best. I'll remember it next time my little pink pussy gets fucked by a long, thick massive black cock. Just doing my part for an anti-racist society! Okay, just kidding. But I couldn't help it.

I have read your post and agree. Lately, I am having trouble reconciling my preferences with my past. I will say that its a learning process. When I do date again, I want to do it for the right reasons and not just sex. My last 2 relationships failed because of that reason.

I want to date again and have no doubts in my head.

    I think 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 sums it up.

I have not read the "evil twin" thread but if it's the opposite of this one, I don't think I will.

There were only 5 points written in the original post...

but, since this thread wasn't done enough justice, I'll bumpin' it.
