Identity Confusion: Am I white enough?

I understand this site is White Women Black Men, but how white does one need to be? What constitutes being white?

I’ve never limited my attraction for the opposite sex by skin color; a beautiful man is a beautiful man. I’m here because I’m primarily physically attracted to black men, but I find myself wondering if I’m in the wrong place. I've just read a lot of the post where the men are saying the most attractive women are the women with red hair and blondes with very white skin.

I have long dark hair, dark eyes, smooth honey colored skin, and yes, big strong thighs and a big round booty. I’m Native American Sioux, (which is of course Asian descent), and Irish/English mix. The first question most people ask when meeting me for the first time, (and I’m not kidding), is “What are you? Regardless, I’ve never spent much time thinking about my skin color until now. For some people I’ll never be Indian enough, for others, I’ll never be white enough, but that isn’t my problem. I like who I am. Growing up I always checked the Caucasian box because I don’t remember having many other choices. There wasn’t a Multiracial box. Now I usually check the box marked Other. I know this site isn't: Women of All Other Races and Black Men.

I’m not leaving, just curious of your views.

“In an ideal world people would not have to identify themselves ethnically or otherwise. We are far from ideal.

You are what you consider yourself to be. No one has a right to label who you are.

I consider myself to be "a lady in the streets but a..." No, no, no, that's a whole different topic.

I might consider myself to be intelligent, but that doesn't necessarily make it true.

I do, however, consider myself to be a human being, of the human race. Everything else is a shade of grey. Brown? Tan? Off white?

    Spellonu,

I believe that most guys on this site find brunettes attractive just like the blondes and redheads, but most speak of the blondes and redheads because their features are so contrastly pronounced when compared to that of black people. I think beauty comes in all races, but most of the time, I'm more attracted to ww and Latinas. Long, silky hair on a woman is a turn-on to me regardless of the color of the hair. My kinky hair and her soft textured hair, my broad nose and her straight nose, the differences in our voices, cultures and personalities are all like special sauces in gumbo. It's like ying and yang, and I'm not talking about the twins either.

After looking at your photo on the personals, you could be Native American, Italian, Latin, a white brunette, or even a white Southern belle with a deep tan. All I can say is this: most guys on this site, including myself, like what we see.

America is rapidly becoming more multicultural. But sometimes I do wonder at what point in our heritage are we able to say that we are multiracial. Most blacks and Latinos in America are mixed with something. My mother is so light-skinned that some people have thought that she's white and my father is just as brown-skinned as I am. I'm sure that if my family traced its ethnicity in detail, there is some white and Native American in our heritage. But when people see me, I'm black and that's what I consider myself to be. A person with a father who's one race and a mother who's another race can more easily say they are multiracial than someone like me. But we are all mixed with something. Do you get what I'm saying?

Just be proud of who you are. The main reason that some people nowadays don't understand why others claim to be multiracial is because they think that some multiracial people claim whatever suits them at the time. They are black whenever the situation requires it to be so and multiracial if they want to seem more exotic. I know that you are not doing that, but that's how some people feel. But the reality is that America is becoming more and more multiracial.

As far as this site goes, I don't think it's so much about being "pure white" as it is about black guys who are attracted to women with so-called white features. There are ww here who are attracted to guys like Maxwell, etc. who have mixed heritage and there are bm here who are attracted to women like Sade. You are cute and you should be proud of that.

I am speaking of what 'labels' you consider yourself to be...

and, if you consider yourself to be white, then maybe you are, especially if you look white.

Also, we are all a part of the human race, aren't we?

Thank you; you're very kind, but I was merely questioning the "whiteness" of it all.

I don't think your "whiteness" or lack thereof will be a problem on this site. One thing about BM is that we will talk about our specific preferences but when a beautiful woman who looks like the exact opposite of our description walks by......we'll have second thoughts (maybe just me). A lot of guys who say they like blondes say that because those women often are seen as being more receptive to BM (or men in general) and these men may believe some of the stereotypes of blondes being more "fun". Maybe you are not the prototypical "white girl" but beauty both inside and outside always wins the heart. :yawinkle:

You are exactly what you think you are: other people's labels don't matter, whatever they are. Part of life in society is the continual quest of other people to assign you, as a distinct individual, labels by which they can categorise you. This site isn't meant to be like that though, as far as I can gather.

After looking at your pics, I would say that whatever you consider yourself to be is OK in my book. You're a hottie.

Thank you. I wasn't fishing for a compliment, but of course, they're always appreciated.

    Acceptance is a good thing.

It's funny, after seeing all the blondes here, I wondered if I was white enough and I'm pretty darn white.

Wow! Seems like this has come full circle. It has gone from "am I white enough" back to men proclaiming their love and attraction for redheads, which prompted the question.

spellonu: I guess you didnt read what was written, because if you had you would have seen that I wrote that a Woman who is mixed with 2 seperate races is NOT white but rather called Bi(which means 2) Racial.

there for you are only part white but we here love "partially" white women too!!
