Since I'm black and being deaf. I've been thinking about running for governor. I know that it won't be that easy, but it has to do with President-elect Obama that gives me so full of energy that got me pumped up all over the roof!! Actually..when I was young..being modern and decent person that I was, my grandma and I had heartfelt conversation while sit down on the sofa to talking about what I want to do for my life. My grandmother had her cheerful smile that I never suspected to know what is she up to. She told me that she saw me through that one day I will be first-ever deaf president of united states of America. I scoffed up and roaring with wildly laughter that she's so crazy and that I can't be president of united states of America for that matter..I had no idea what did she see through me, tho!:? Ever since..her comments has got me to do some serious thinking and do soul-searching! Aside my being deaf and all, I asked my deaf friends at school to challenge this question that I very much needed to answer. I told them that I'm serious thinking about running for president of united states of America in the future... They laughed so harder and shake their head to let me know that it would be VERY impossible for me to running for that highest and powerful office in the world, because I'd have to be hearing person to take many of phone calls and all. Though, I dismissed their comments for not encourage me. My teachers told me that I'd have to be governor to learn all of that. 'Course their comments were that helpful! Their cheerful comments got me to do some thinking. Before I leave that school, I got tons of questions about what I want to do for my life as I set my foot in to seek what will brings in my life. I was so afraid that their comments on my thinking about running for president! I find that they are so full of energy and being so happy that I'm thinking about that powerful position. After I graduated, I went to having this surgery. Was about to going back to school, but my grandfather passed away that fateful day on September 11th, 2006. I decided not to follow that path that I seek out to set in. To tell you the truth, his death does hit on me so hard. It hurts so much like hell! I didn't find any light or hope to move on with my life. Under President Bush, I struggles to met from between down that line to the impossible end. Couldn't find good job that I've always wanted to do. My path were blocked for no reason whatsoever. Until four years ago, I heard so much about this young man, Barack Obama. He spoke so highly and I already liked him so much. Wanting to learn more about him and finally got my wish. During of this heavily campaign that has been going on for 22 months. While I listened his powerful speeches, I found the light and the hope that I very much needed to see. That leaves my eyes swimming with the tears. That warms my spirit to know it. I have been behind him all the along until two weeks that I learned he becomes president-elect... That leaves me so emotionally and weeps so heavily. His victory speech got me up to do victory dance and sings! I bows on the floor while cried so harder to thanked americans for make the right thing to do. More than two weeks later, my path is now very much clearer than ever. I'm going to make the history once more. I'm not afraid to running for that powerful position that I'm seeking out to do so. Going to do that in 2020, it will be very, very long road! I have to thanked to this wonderful man for leading me down the right path..despite the situation that we've been in. I'm going to listens to that man once he took the oval office coming next year. I'll be take him so seriously as he will make the first of state of the union address later on. I don't know why I felt so powerful already. Hoping that you'll help me with good advice! Tell me...should I make the history down that road? Will deaf people be so happy to see that I'm running for that powerful position? You tell me! I will hear your comments coming next thursday on thanksgiving holiday! See you.
If they are actually thinking of running dumbasses like Joe the Plumber, why shouldn't you run? You seem much smarter than he is. Just don't share that whole cryogenic thing with anybody.
Well I guess he's cool if you ignore the fact that a) his name isn't really Joe, b) he isn't even a licensed plumber and c) he hasn't paid his taxes.
lol, exactly. This "Joe the Plumber" and the whole "lipstick on a pig" was the most embarassing stunt McCain pulled. but saying on "joe", i cant believe the "mainstream" media took this fake clown seriously. hey, if he can be considered a candidate for office, then prime boss should even run for president.
Prime Boss, if you actually plan to run for any political office you might want to stop posting on the internet, and delete all your posts. They will be discovered and dissected like a frog. EVERYTHING you ever said or did, will come out. However there are plenty of people who don't care at all about a persons past and just vote for whomever they happen to like at the moment, so if you are nice in public, you may still win! I say Go For It! I don't live in Jersey, and I won't vote Democratic often, so you probably won't get my vote.
The current governor of New York, David Patterson, is legally blind. You asked if deaf people would be happy to see that you're running for a powerful position. Instead you should ask yourself whether most voters in New Jersey would be happy to see you run, based on your positions and views on the issues that affect them. Every vote counts. This story is a bit embarrassing, but I ran for a seat on the city commission in a fairly large popular city which shall remain nameless. I was working for UPS at the time and I had a delivery for the city offices. While I was waiting for a signature I saw a sign that said today was the last day for candidates to register to run for the city commission. I joked to the receptionist that I planned to run and she laughed. So I immediately went to the bank, came back, and plunked down my $300.00+ dollar registration fee and entered the contest. Ha! When I got home later that day my answering machine was LOADED with messages. Media outlets, sales people, and groups I never new existed were inviting me for interviews and to speak at luncheons. When a TV station called to invite me to a debate I got cold feet because I had no platform or any idea what was going on in city politics. So I made up some ridiculous platform about plundering a neighboring city and annexing them, and some other crazy stuff. Next thing I know my wonderful platform was published in the local paper and I started getting a lot of calls from whackos -- I mean my new supporters. To make a long story short I ended up with 0.16% of the vote. :smt023 I did it for all the wrong reasons, but mostly because I could! Don't let anyone stop you from living your dreams.
