Howard Zinn the Civil War and the Revolutionary War could have been AVOIDED.

This country like War, likes solving problems with War instead of "doing the right thing and using War as a last resort".

Most of the country doesn't care about doing the right thing and somebody else is going to stand here and say there is racism against White People in here, but the fact of the matter is, when you don't attack the government for giving Reparations to The Vietnamese for the War, to Chinese Americans for putting them in Camps during WWII and to many Arabs for blowing the shit out of Iraq, yet when African-Americans who are still owed "40 Acres and a Mule" that we never got, Whites won't stand up and say "Hey you gave other people NOT Americans Reparations, why don't you give Black People what they deserve and we don't care how much it cost, just DO THE RIGHT THING..."

 

We car too comfortable now, we won't even attack Obama, Mark Thompson attacks Obama and other Black people call him to say Stop It!

The White Media picks our leaders for us as well or haven't you noticed...

We should march, we have a half Black Man in the White House, we should hold him responsible for giving the Ghetto a Stimulus Plan, to giving all African-American FREE access to upper education.

Those are just SOME of things I would demand, I don't need a check in the mail. Whenever this country does something positive for Black People, Everybody benefits...

 

They wont ever give Blacks reparations

They gave the Japanese,Germans,and Italians reparations for the wrongs of WW2

Natives still have some land and some casinos

I used to think all forms of raparation were a feasible solution in "giving people what they were owed", but I have come to realise that a lot of the reparation methods would cause more social problems than they would solve. And are therefore a total and utter waste of time.

 

You mean just giving away Cash to people????

I would agree, some people would just it on stuff they've always dreamed about, but that sounds pretty conservative to me my friend because who cares what they do with the money????

I say firstly all African-Americans should be able to go to College on Uncle Sam's dime if you pass your SAT's, no questions asked, no form to sign, nothing. You wouldn't have to go to a public school, you could go to Harvard if you qualify, the US picks up the tab, I see no negative in that, only positive.

Access to super low cost home loans to those that meet min requirements, allow African-Americans access to the same program GI's and other Government employees get.

Access to super low cost SBA loans

Allow African-Americans into Medicare, no age limits

These programs would cost tax payers hardly any money overall and be a blip in the Government budget.

You're talking about 13% of the population qualify for this program, and its viable. Obama can even bury it deeply into upcoming legislation how many people actually read something that goes into law? I bet I have read more of what's in the Stimulus than most of you have.

The only problem I would have with going that route is some media outlet would find that nugget inside and blab about giving preferential treatment to Blacks and stirring that racist pot by saying "See we told you Obama was pro-Black"

Anything that directly benefits Black People will have to be wrapped up in helping everybody....

 

For a start, I dont agree with just handing out money to people who are owed something. I think this would instill a mentality where people who got the handouts would not be motivated to actually better themselves, and you would have sectors of the community just sitting on their backside, because they know they gonna get paid.

Of course there is a negative.Increased hate towards blacks from other groups.

 

You already have a segment of Blacks sitting on their collective asses, I don't see what the difference would be.

Hate? You mean 25% of the population? You cares what they think, most progressives in the country are quietly behind Reparations and would "fight" back in the public arena anyway.

Most Americans don't know that the Government has been paying out money to people from other countries, giving them low cost access to SBA loans, etc, etc.

 

This is the truth.

Whether or not a person agrees with the idea of reparations, we all have to admit that there is no way that the spotlight gets shined on us without us having to share it. The average white American thinks blacks should be thankful to be here...and we are...but only because of the sacrifices OUR ancestors made...not because of anything white Americans have collectively done for us.
