    Hey webbie,

Is there any chance of installing a "return to top" button that scrolls with the page?

Or putting another navigation strip at the bottom of each page?

Yes, it can be added as a modification. But I'll have to look at that after the conversion to the new forum.

Could I offer a suggestion about the software of the new forums?

I think you might like this one.

I took a look at that one but didn't like the layout as much. It pretty much came down to upgrading vBulletin (which we are on now), or purchasing IP.Board.

Some of the original programmers for vBulletin designed another forum called Xenforo (https://xenforo.com/). I think Xenforo will take the lead once they get it polished and add a CMS (content management system) for the home page.

I did a test run of transferring this forum to IP.Board but got some errors. Waiting to hear back from a developer on the solution.

What do you anticipate the timeline to be for the changeover? And will it be drastically different?

Hard to say when exactly. It depends on how fast they can get back to me on resolving these errors. Once that's done it will probably take about 6 hours to convert over.

Then I have to go through all the options/settings/permissions in the new forum to make sure they match.

It won't look radically different... May be a bit wider on the screen.

Here are some examples of what IP.Board looks like.

This is what Xenforo looks like:

Ads are also coming. But that's independent of the forum type.

    Thanks for the examples!

Boo to ads, but it's fair enough :/
