I had never seen The Sound of Music. I had recalled that Christopher Plummer was in it and Julie Andrews. It was directed by Robert Wise. That's all I know.

Ms.Carr does have a sweet voice and demeanor.
    May she Rest In Peace.

Nice... didn't know he directed that and also West Side Story.

I definitely recommend watching Sound of Music. It's a true classic and one of my favorites.

Robert Wise also directed the classic The Day The Earth Stood Still, Star Trek: The Motion Picture and an 80's reworking of West Side Story called Rooftops.

I am not much of a musical fan, but I have seen some greats like West Side Story, The Wizard of Oz, Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, March of the Wooden Soldiers/ Babes In Toyland, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, The Pirates of Penzance(and a parody called The Pirate Movie with Chris Atkins and Kristie MacNicol), The Blues Brothers, Absolute Beginners, Hairspray Chicago.

I'll probably check it out. My sister saw The Sound of Music on stage and loved it.
