I'm not one for the romance genre but find this interesting in that a white female wrote this novel featuring a black male and white female lead. If you think about it, the dominant narrative about black men and white women is frequently distilled through the prism of the white male dominated pornography industry or other medium where the authors are rarely black men or white women. You might want to give it a shot.

Being a HUGE fan of The Room, I asked for this book for my birthday:



I just recently finished this book. OMG. If you've seen this movie (and if you haven't it's a MUST SEE) then you'll enjoy this book.

It's full of insight into the mind of Tommy Wiseau.

And it made me want to watch The Room as I read it.

 

You should definitely watch the movie a couple of times first before reading the book.

Seeing the movie first will help you have a greater appreciation of the book.

Plus, Greg Sestero writes the book as if you have seen the movie. It'll make more sense to see the movie at least once.

But, trust me when I tell you that you'll want to experience The Room more than once.

 

Yeah, I almost always try to read the book first, if it's a story I'd be interested in seeing the movie.

This book is like a supplement to the movie. More of a behind-the-scenes look at everything leading up to the movie and filming of the movie.

So definitely watch the movie first, a few times.
