    Fictional characters whose visuals have been long-established through the visual media known as comic books and films. But I guess dodging the point is fun.

    Not dodging a point. There is a difference between casting fictional characters and casting actual real life people. Unless you were unaware that Michael Jackson was a real person. Granted, the things that transpired in Moonwalker were purely fictional, but you are able to tell the difference between fictional made-up characters and real life people being portrayed in film right?
