Why should it be audacious to hope? Something audacious is out of the ordinary and when someone tells you you have the audacity to do something, the person is probably angry you did it or is surprised you did. Hope is the very fabric of human existence, we hope for a brighter day tomorrow, we hope for a silver lining in a cloud, light at the end of the tunnel, sunshine after a thunderstorm. So why should it be audacious to hope i ask again?

Leicester is a small town in the east midlands in England and is not known for much. London is the multicultural city, Manchester has been made famous by the football club and even Newcastle which is dreary as fuck is known for their coal but Leicester is like Wyoming.

The English Premier League is the world richest football league and only the richest rule the roost. It was not in the script that Leicester City would win the title this year when they were at 5000/1 odds to do so. They were a bunch of rejects who had come together under an Italian Manager who was a reject himself and decided to say fuck you to the football establishment.

The goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel whose father was a legendary goalkeeper at Manchester United had to live up to his father's image and was rejected by Manchester City, Danny Simpson and Danny Drinkwater were rejected by Manchester United because they were deemed not good enough for the team, Robert Huth was deemed a lumbering lumberjack with feet of lead hence was not worthy of a place in Chelsea, Wes Morgan an inner city kid whose friends were pimps and drug dealers was deemed too fat to play professional football,Jamie Vardy their goalscorer was playing 8th division soccer about 6 years ago and struggled through the ranks to play at the highest level at 28 was seen as not worthy of the England National Team.

Yes, these were rejects who decided to drop blood and sweat on the field and anytime they stretched a sinew to tackle they knew they had a point to prove. They were constantly second guessed, mocked, scorned, ridiculed and told they would crumble and fall but they didnt. They are known as the Foxes and cunning as a fox they were when they met more illustrious opponents.

Yesternight without kicking a ball they became English Champions in football and some lucky bastards will be making a lot of money on the 5000/1 odds they bet on. The brave lads from Leicestershire sit on all they survey and look down at the rich kids from Manchester and London and say money cant buy what we just did.

Audacity of hope is when you hope to be something which ends up offending other people because they think you dont have the right to have that hope.
Leicester had an audacious hope and dream that they will be Kings of English Football at the end of the season and they were sneered at but that did not stop them from achieving this aim.

Audacity of Hope? Yes but why should it be audacious to hope? Cheers guys you earned it.
