Should I give up on Ukraine..what about the other slavic countries?

    OMG, definitely, a LOT has changed. I actually have some family in Bydgoszcz too, although never been in that city. Did you like it?

    It's harder to find Americans down here than it is to find Eastern Europeans.

    WHICH, for the record., I'm perfectly Ok with.

    Yup. I was there a few days ago with a Russian "entertainer" friend. :p Even I felt a little out of place because I'm not Russian... :shock:

    Bydgoszcz is all good. It has a lot of historic sites and within walking distance. My memory is the snow and watching the Black soap Generations with then girlfriend at the hotel. Oh yes, the large demoninations of Zlotys.

    Oh yeah... They ended up converting the currency later to get rid of some of the zeros.

    My memory enroute to Poland was going to another train station in Berlin to Poznan and then to Bydgoszcz.

    Until my trip to Estonia,Poland was the most eastward country I had visited.

    Nice. I miss back home. I don't go there nearly often enough as I should. But when I do go, I have a grand time.
