An off-set from another thread regarding getting to know everyone here individually, I would like to ask my own series of questions that are politically related. So, please take the time to answer the following:

    Username: Self-Explanatory

    Birthday: Self-Explanatory

    Hometown: Birthdate and year.

Political Affiliation/Party: Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Socialist Party, Reform Party, Independent, or other?

    Religious Background: Self-Explanatory

Class: General income level. And if you don't want to disclose that information, just say lower, middle, upper class or any of the in between.

And now for your stances on the following:

Abortion: Anti-Abortion or pro-choice? Should the government get involved with the personal affairs of individual rights of people?

Gay rights: Gay marriage, same-sex unions, same-sex adoptions and/or domestic partnerships, what are your stances on these? Should they receive the same benefits as those who are of the heterosexual persuasion?

Affirmative Action: Is it an unfair practice or a good thing to grant minorities extra help, despite not being as qualified as the next person.

Creationism/Intelligent Design: Should we teach such subjects in the science classroom? Why or why not?

Taxes: Necessary evil or a big governmental scam? And how should taxes be dispersed?

Health-Care: Universal health-care through government or simply let the businesses handle it?

Social Security: Entitled to it when you get to retiring age or a waste?

Net Neutrality: No restrictions as to what should be on or not on the internet?

Gun Rights/Gun Control: Favor more gun laws or less? Why or why not?

Prayer in Public School: Should there be a mandatory prayer in a school system paid for by the state and local governments?

    War: Necessary evil?

Global Warming: Is it real? Why or why not?

And now for some personal questions:

    1. Do you keep up with politics? Why or Why not?

    2. Who do feel is the best President of the United States?

    3. How did you come to your conclusions on what's best for the times and country?

    4. Ever thought about getting into politics? If so, what positions would you like to pursue?

    5. Which politician would you like to meet? And why?

    6. Which politician do you hate the most? And why?

    7. Do you see a positive future or a not so positive future for the United States? Why or why not?

    8. How would identify your politics? Liberal? Conservative? Or other?

I'm looking forward to hearing everyone of you! So, take this into consideration and take your time doing this.

It's meant to be a comprehensive bit of information to see where everyone stand in the political spectrum. I should put a disclaimer telling people not to start a debate or have an argument about where people stand on issues and the matter. Those will be for other threads.

No offense to you BBW, but I'm with Tony on this, some of those are far too personal. I wouldn't answer some of those for people I know offline, in fact one of them is on my list of questions you just don't ask me ever. I know you were looking forward to everyone answering, but I'm gonna pass thanks. Given the number of crazy people who troll here, I really think it unwise to put that much info out there. I also think if you expect people to supply answers, you should start by answering yourself... just a suggestion.

I didn't respond because I thought there were going to be fights. I also like privacy. Hell, I don't even have a facebook account because I want my privacy.

I wasn't concerned with fights, but I am extremely private about some things, and on here I've found caution is merited given the number of trolls, and people who come here with a suspect agenda. I do have Facebook, but only so I can see the pics my niece and sister upload. I friend no one and don't update mine at all for the same reason as you, I value my privacy.

    That's what I was wondering.

I like my privacy too & I don't do facebook either.

There are certain things that need to stay private imo.

I aint scurred, I will answer your questions

    Religious Background

    CHRISTIAN

    Prayer in Public School

The student and teaching body should vote on it, each school should make their own decision.

    1. Do you keep up with politics? Why or Why not?

You damn right I do. As a minority and person from opressed background I will be damned if I dont know what the political current of my country or the world

    2. Who do you feel is the best President of the United States?
Whoever can get the job done. Someone who can balance the budget, get us out of unnecessary war, create a thriving economy and invest in education

    3. How did you come to your conclusions on what's best for the times and country?
Knowing our country's past and present

    4. Ever thought about getting into politics? If so, what positions would you like to pursue?
    YES, not sure.

    5. Which politician would you like to meet? And why?
Collin Powell-coz he is an individual from poor back ground who made a name for himself. A respected four star General who served his country back in the 60's when ppl thought we were fucken apes.

Bama-Even tho I disagree with some of his policy. The man is an inspirational not only to blks and minorites but even to less fortunate whites. A man who grew up without a father and mother in one of the MOST RACIST country in the world climbing the ladder of the white boys club with no time, even if you don't like him, you got to admire that.

Hillary and Bill- Just to pick their brain and learn how they navigate the political wave.

Nelson Mandela- Fucken Warrior, need I say more.

much more, but too tired to think of their name right now.

    6. Which politician do you hate the most? And why?
Fucken idiot Sarah Palin and wishy washy Hucakbee

    7. Do you see a positive future or a not so positive future for the United States? Why or why not?
Mix- some positive also some negatives with some crazy group movement that I've been noticing.

    8. How would identify your politics? Liberal? Conservative? Or other?
A Social liberal. I dont give a rat's ass if someone wants to abort, be gay, transexual or whatever. Gays should have rights to serve in the military and get married.
But I am fisically conservative. When I vote I study the candidate's background and agenda, I dont just go out there and vote blindly along a party line. The ppl that I send to Washington is going to appoint someone at the federal court and supreme court level and that will affect not only me but 3 or 4 generation after me.

I'll definitely have to break down everyone and their comments within an hour or so. And UnChosen and Brittney, thank you so much for taking the time to answering them. As for the rest of you, if the information I ask seems to uneasy for you to answer, then you're free to pick and choose what information you can dish out.

I also remind everyone that this is strictly on information. And I don't want any mudslinging at all.

Don't you think this ordeal is a tad bit intrusive? You’re asking for everything under the sun except my social security number and a urine sample.

    What I'm comfortable answering:

    Political Affiliation/Party: Independent

    Religious Background: Christian

And now for your stances on the following:

Abortion: Pro-choice. I'm all for as little governmental involvement as possible, however sometimes it's necessary to guarantee individual rights and safety.

    Health-Care: Universal health-care

Social Security: Entitled to it when you get to retiring age.

Gun Rights/Gun Control: Not in favor of taking away the right to own guns, however I'm in favor of mandatory background checks, and banning of certain types of guns.

Prayer in Public School: No. You either have to accommodate all religions, or none of them. I prefer none.

    War: Necessary evil? Yes.

And now for some personal questions: (They were all personal questions BTW)

    8. How would identify your politics? Liberal

IMO it's very intrusive. I took the pick and choose approach, and I didn't answer anything I haven't already answered on here before at some point.

I didn't feel that the other questions were intrusive at all. But as I said, you're free to skip them and answer what you feel is necessary.

Hence why this isn't forced down your throat. And do not worry, I just came home, so you'll get my answers right down to the last bit of blood.

This topic and the other topic are two vastly different discussions. The old topic has more to do with specifics as opposed to a wide variety and open to everyone. I'd suggest you look at the two topics closely, because if I'm not mistaken, this topic is meant for EVERYONE to participate in.

    Political Affiliation/Party: Independent

Religious Background: Raised Southern Baptist, now near hard-line Atheist with existential and nihilistic views, slowly gravitating to LeVayan Satanism.

    Class: By myself - Low

And now for your stances on the following:

Abortion: I'm politically pro-choice. It's strictly a woman's choice and government should have no right to restrict access to abortions. I'll also add a quote of mine which goes like this: "Life is a privilege, not a right. Abuse your privilege to live, you need to die."

Gay rights: I'm for gay rights and they've been stepped on for generations upon generations as second class citizens by the woefully ignorant, and I feel that they deserve all the benefits and rights as any person living.

Affirmative Action: Our nation is based on a lot or cluster-fucks. Much of the remnants of the past still haunt those who are alive today. We still have a long way to go before we can truly be of equal standing as a people (human race as a whole).

Creationism/Intelligent Design: No. There's no empirical evidence pointing to the existence of a higher being. Therefore, it would be dumb to teach it in the science classrooms. However, I would not object to teaching it as part of a Philosophy course, where it belongs.

Taxes: It's a necessary evil. But those who need to pay more are those who are millionaires and billionaires. They're suppose to drive the jobs, yes? Well, they're too busy giving themselves raises and ignoring the working class. Less taxes on the middle and lower, more for the upper echelon.

Health-Care: A Universal Health-care system would work well. Especially it would give the working class some sigh of relief on their payments.

Social Security: Entitled. I sure as hell do not want to keep working until I'm dead.

Net Neutrality: The internet is fine the way it is now.

Gun Rights/Gun Control: I'm on the fence here. I'm for individual rights for people to bear arms, but there should be strict background checks on mental state and what have you.

Prayer in Public School: It goes against Separation of Church and State. Do it in your own damn time.

War: Yes, but we can always find ways to avoid it or do it in style.

Global Warming: Yes, it is real. Much of the evidence we see now in the past half decade, we're experiencing some strange occurrences in the weather.

And now for some personal questions:

    1. Do you keep up with politics? Why or Why not?
    - Yes. It's part of our daily lives and we cannot avoid it at all.

    2. Who do feel is the best President of the United States?
    - I cannot say to be honest. I liked Bill Clinton for getting us out of debt and I do like President Obama too. He's a pragmatist and is now a historical figure.

    3. How did you come to your conclusions on what's best for the times and country?
    - I have friends and family who fit in the lesser influential groups and they need their voices heard.

    4. Ever thought about getting into politics? If so, what positions would you like to pursue?
    - I have. Once I complete my work, I would like to see if I can become a Congressman or Governor of my home state. It's unrealistic, but we live in hope.

    5. Which politician would you like to meet? And why?
    - George W. Bush mainly because he'll make an incredible bit of comedy relief.

    6. Which politician do you hate the most? And why?
    - Sarah Palin. There's nothing worse than having someone like her degrade women by having her exist.

    7. Do you see a positive future or a not so positive future for the United States? Why or why not?
    - I'm skeptical of the demise of the nation. We've been through our low points before, and we'll find a way to get back up.

    8. How would identify your politics? Liberal? Conservative? Or other?
    - I'm liberal on social issues mainly, conservative on others, authoritarian in rule, socialist in nature.
