    Exactly.
Prosecutor Giuliano Mignini is out on appeal himself for abusing his position in another high profile case (in Florence), where he spun the same "vodoo ritual slaying" theory too, arresting dozens for those crimes (even an American reporter covering the Florence slayings and and Italian Author writing about the murders) - all were exonerated. So Mignini is about to go to jail himself.

50 % of all conviction cases in Italy, are overturned on appeal. What happened to Amanda being set free is not an anomaly.

:smt115 or maybe since they lived in the house, they had access to cleaning materials and were able to move evidence.

well it's funny that knox's dna wasn't handled right, but guede's was, in the same house!

Guede's sperm was inside Meredith. His blood mixed in with hers. Knox's DNA was never in question - she didn't have any at the crime scene.

It was her boyfriend's Raphael in question. His was one tiny spec found on a small torn off piece of Meredeth's bra strap. Three weeks after the crime. After people trotted in and out for those three weeks.

And when they went back three weeks later with a camera to collect more "evidence', her bra strap piece was picked up three times by two different forensic cops, who passed it to each other with their glove hands, cross contaminating it, and placed it back in two different places. Italian court-room officials gasped in embarrassment as footage of the inept handling was shown. On top, the DNA was so minute, it was not testable ever again.

Yeah, they were such DNA super-sleuth detectors, they knew in all that blood mix how to wash theirs away but leave Rudy's.

no it wasn't, they didn't even find dna in her(knox)'s own room. and they found a mop outside......evidence of cleaning......but as you say, a murderer is free.......

It's still a strange case to me. Why was a drug dealer inside their house??
It wasn't just a buy, they were all 'partying' together IMO.

Don't know what happened, maybe the dealer tried to hookup with the roommate, she rejected him and he flipped out.

I definitely don't get the feeling Amanda was some total innocent in this case, but that doesn't mean she murdered her roommate.

We have an extradition treaty with Italy... however we don't recognize it when double jeopardy occurs...which it did..several times :|
