    textbooks are ridiculously expensive..

most ive spent was like 200+ on a 'required' bundle..just for one class

not to mention any supplemental book(s) not in stock at campus library

you are nt lying. its a racket. they will make a very minor change in the book such as adding a question just to make a new book to make you pay 120 for a book

Or rearrange the chapters for another edition

Amazon dot com is very helpful tho

You can easily find used books from regular joes at a fraction of the used price at a store

I've used Amazon.com, bookbyte.com, alibris.com and chegg.com, all with decent results. Plus, unless it's a subject I want to practice later on, I just rent it.

    Same

Amazon books seem to be cheaper than our Barnes and noble partner on campus

I also prefer used books since that also brings additional price cuts

I also agree with U on renting vs buying

I prefer to buy my books because they're filled with a ton of information that you can touch upon later..especially the math ones

Books on tech however....after a while they become outdated so......

    Math never changes

I tend to keep most of my books from college because they rip you off when you try to sell them back.
