If you love this country and believe in what the flag stands for, I don't see how anyone can seriously have a problem with Kaepernick refusing to stand during the National Anthem.

Maybe on a personal level you disagree with him, but from a constitutional standpoint you should be applauding his stance because it reinforces American values.

People like you are 'patriotic' and believe in the Bill of Rights and Constitution only when it's convenient.:smt030

If you believe in the ideals and principles set forth in those documents, you believe in them ALL the time, not only when you personally agree with the rights they're defending.

Trying to 'flag shame' the man with your endless stream of idiotic links serves no purpose.

John McCain Exposed By Vietnam Vets And POW’s
As a Liar And A Fraud [Video]

www.veteranstoday.com/Trump right about Hanoi John McCain

www.vvof.org/The War Secrets Sen. John McCain Hides

    Excerpt...
there was one subject that was off-limits, a subject the Arizona senator almost never brings up and has never been open about — his long-time opposition to releasing documents and information about American prisoners of war in Vietnam and the missing in action who have still not been accounted for. Since McCain himself, a downed Navy pilot, was a prisoner in Hanoi for 5 1/2 years, his staunch resistance to laying open the POW/MIA records has baffled colleagues and others who have followed his career. Critics say his anti-disclosure campaign, in close cooperation with the Pentagon and the intelligence community, has been successful. Literally thousands of documents that would otherwise have been declassified long ago have been legislated into secrecy.

Stop with the bs. The video is up and you can hear what he (trump) said "I like those who didn't get captured."

This comes from a guy who found was to not serving when the country said "we need you to serve."

The country has been good to Colin. His biological father...and mother...mmm not so much. He should protest that. Kids being abandoned. He should donate his salary to BLM...Instead of disrespecting the anthem.

No sense in donating money to Blm they have more than enough money given to them from George soros and other leftist Marxist organizations that are using the divide and conquer strategy. These people don't give a damn about black people they use this movement because they know there is a segment of the population that are disgruntled and not smart enough to see through their bullshit. Hitler used the beat down German population after world war 1 to do the same fucking thing.

    This is crazy.

McCain the Navy pilot was a war hero. His opponents can float conspiracy theories that he provided critical logistical information to the North Vietnamese, etc., all unconfirmed, but the fact remains he was a POW for almost 6 years in Vietnam and was tortured while in custody.

McCain the Senator may have blocked releasing any info about existing POWs still in Vietnam, but to pin that all on John McCain is ridiculous.

If the head of the CIA and Pentagon were against following up on POWs potentially still held in Vietnam, including Carter, Reagan, Bush and Clinton, there's a reason for that.

Maybe not a good one, but still.

Acting as if we still had POWs in Vietnam because of McCain, and that somehow doesn't make him a war hero, is nuts.

Bliss, you're too sharp IMO to ride on any conspiracy theory that conforms to your own political bias.

You really need to read the link below that contains excerpts of quotes and interviews from soldiers who were held in captivity with McCain at the Hanoi Hilton, then question how you define 'war hero' and whether or not draft dodging Trump has the right to say McCain wasn't one.

Real talk, what is the point of bringing up the military in this conversation/thread other than to deflect from what Colin Kapernick is actually protesting about?
