Thoughts about speed dating ?

A local african restaurant where I leave is organizing a speed dating evening this week end.
I would be tempted to go but I don't really have a good opinon of this kind of events.

I mean, I'm not really convinced anything serious can really be found there and that it is more for hook ups or things like that.

Any opinon or experiences to share ?

 

Just try it for fun. Go in with no other expectations. I tried it several times, years ago. It's an amusing way to spend part of an evening.

For extra fun, take a friend and compare notes after. I've got plenty of stories about that lol

I have never done speed dating before. Is it anything like what they show on TV shows and movies? How long does each "date" last?

 

It was a first time doing something like this.

The girls were at a table and they guys would change every 7 minutes and we were served little dishes every rotation.
And after that there was some dancing until the end of the evening.
It was pretty fun ^^

That actually sounds pretty cool. This is the event at which you met your current boyfriend?

 

Yes I met him there. I kept contact with a few people but he was one with whom I felt a deep connection (no pun intended).
