I think we're all tested when it comes to relationships. We want to know the person and their qualities and how we can benefit from them. In dating, I think it is a part of the audition process. Factors such as, can this person make me laugh, happy, feel safe, etc. In the end, it's all up to the individual in search of a person to date.
T True. I just don't really like it framed as "testing" you know? To me that just seems like something really negative. I was once with a man who straight out said he tests women. It's like he set up situations to see how they would deal. That to me is crazy and it's probably not really going to give you what you are looking for anyway. Of course we all have our "make it or break its" when considering being with someone and we're going to try to figure out if that person "fits" well or not. Some sort of weeding out process.

Well I don't anymore. I did due to my divorce and lack of trust, but have learned to trust until proven untrustworthy
