Calm everyone, calm. One man cannot destroy this country. It's looking like Trump so far, Clinton will need a serious rally. If Trump takes it, it will be VERY interesting to see how he gets along with Ryan and congress as president.

In my best Michael Buffer voice "Let's get ready for more gridloooooooock!!!!!!!"

Come on Loki no way on earth does the Republican party gridlock with their own president in charge. They are party soldiers to the end. There is absolutely zero protection for the working class now

The only enjoyment I will take from all this is that when this social experiment destroys our country in every way imaginable no one can ever say it was the fault of progressives and minorities. Racist white people will get the repressive regime they so desperately want but will have the stark realization that they're going to be oppressed too.
Racism literally always wins in this country

I've never been a "the world is coming to an end" type. Generally speaking, I try to find silver linings in tough situations and maintain some level of optimism. That said, I'm literally in tears trying to figure out how to explain this nightmare to my daughter in the morning. She went to bed honestly thinking that hate wouldn't win this time. I can't even.

We talk everyday here about the racism, hate and injustice in this country and somehow I still allowed myself to naively believe we had a chance to actually do better today. Racism, homophobia, inequality, discrimination...all strengthened leaps and bounds today. Truly heartbreaking no matter how you look at it.

Pretty much. I literally hear neighbors outside wailing and crying. And I want to see who they can possibly blame with a Republican house senate and presidency. Evil has won, no one is coming to save us, nothing will ever change because stupid ignorant racists are allowed to vote.

I think the country proved tonight it's more sexist than it is racist.
Strange country.

You think you know America, until you don't.

Obamacare is dead. Now will the Republicans really overturn Roe v. Wade??

I still don't think half of America knows what they voted for.
This has to be the greatest con game of Donald Trump's life.

And don't look now but the global stock markets are tanking!!

I know many networks have called PA for Trump but there are still thousands of uncounted provisional ballots. How the heck did Hillary not win PA??:smt012

As a medical professional this is one of the scariest thoughts for me. Heaven help the women of this country if our right to safe abortion is terminated. This is Trumps America though, clearly women arent suited to decide what's best for us...only the conservative white male can make those decisions. Women will die as a result of that conservative-driven ignorance and arrogance. Period.

I think the country is just as racist as it is sexist. Hate doesn't play favorites. I now won't leave the tri-state.
I think we greatly underestimate how dire and how monumental of a fuck up this is. It's gonna make the Bush years look like a picnic. All the things THEY feared under Obama will happen now. Literal death camps, no civil liberties, no hope its all done. Over 2 centuries of democracy and progress will be unraveled in a year or two. Its a fucking wrap. So disgusted

You better bet your sweet ass that's exactly what will happen. Republican appointees to the Supreme Court followed by the heaviest oppressive laws on civil liberties since slavery. Trust and believe because we have shown them we don't have the intelligence nor the voice to decide for ourselves so they'll decide for us. That precious little constitution that everyone loves talking about is done.
One girl on FB posted she hopes to at least be a house slave. She wasn't joking that's the real palpable fear out there right now.

Told people this 2 years ago... The only reason it didn't pass 2 years ago was because it didn't pass the 60% threshold but it got over a 50% yes

Bro, think of it like Bookworm... Got a better shot at putting up a progressive in 4 years. Honestly.... Hillary wasn't that... We have several options and Hillary was what was blocking them. I'm just not sure what Donald is. We all know he isn't conservative. .

How could you be excited about this?

I used to rant on here talking about how many indicators of our society have declined before and under Obama's leadership and how/why America has turned into crap and how poorly things function. You all aggressively dismissed what I was trying to say and now you'll get what's coming to you. I have so many different things to say right now it's overwhelming.
