Lets not go down this road Bliss, it always leads to webbie closing the thread and there are some good political discussions going on here. Suffice to say, there are plenty of studies, doctors, and medical organiztions that show TDK's statement is accurate, and there are also studies that show different conclusions. Its up to each individual to do their own research and form their own beliefs.

I saw it in '10 with the republicans going against Obama and it led to a shift in the house. I will bet you a dollar right now that we will see something similar come '18, remember I said so.

Totally understandable for progressives and liberals to be upset, angry, fearful given the results last night, but all of the dire predictions of how awful things will be with Trump in the White House is starting to sound very familiar to all of the dire predictions about Obama from the right when he was first elected.

For example all of the scary false predictions from Focus on the Family about Obama back in '08 below. There will be no death squads and there will always be those to stand up for the people. Yes we agree that a lot of hate, racism, and sexism carried Trump to office last night, but now is the time to dig in and work not throw in the towel.

The hysteria of Obama on the right was just paranoia over the idea of a Black man in the WH.

Trump is surrounding himself with the like of Guiliani, Christie and Newt Gingrich. He's assembling many of the neo-cons who were in and out of the Dubya administration.

You don't find the idea of Rudy Guiliani either becoming head of the FBI or Attorney General a truly frightening prospect??
Or Newt Gingrich as Secretary of State??

Trump idolizes Putin and is a wannabe strong man autocrat.
I really do believe Trump looks at the world as potential assets to be acquired.

Wait until you see Trump's cabinet and his top appointees, then you'll better understand the fear of this administration.

As I've said, this is going to be the Dubya presidency 2.0 on steroids.

Make no mistake, I understand, probably better than most given my many years in politics, that there is risk that comes with ANY administration. As far as another recession/depression, which is what im really concerned about, as I have said numerous times here, that risk has little to do with the actions of the president or congress its all about the federal reserve.

Hateful people are violent. I'll take that bet because most of us won't be here. The first shots have been fired. Unlike meek progressives conservatives stock up on gun and ammo they have been shown for years they can kill brown people and there will be absolutely no consequences. Black body after black body no indictments. The writing is clearly on the wall.

A Trump led DOJ is simply not going to investigate and prosecute cops and 'righteous' White folks for violence against Black folk and police brutality.

For real, be smart about where you hang out and where you go, Trump just gave law enforcement a green light to go rogue and no one is going to do a damn thing about it.

IMO shit is really about to go down in the good ol' USA, and this democratic 'experiment' might be primed for a reset.

I just don't feel like the Donald is a firm believer in the rule of law, particularly as it pertains to the POTUS.

We will have to agree to disagree that Trump being elected and a majority gop congress meaning that it will be a free pass to kill most people of color. There will always be instances of injustice and outrage for people of color, and we have to remain vigilant, but we dont want to give in to fear and panic, things will be ok TDK, we survived Bush and we will survive Trump.
