I don't know if this is the right place to post this, so I have no problem if this thread is deleted or moved. Anywho, I was browsing through Ellen Pompeo's (from grey's anatomy) messageboard on imdb today and I came across this message posted by a white man. "As most white women who choose to engage in interracial relationships/marriage, I am forced to lose all respect for them. I'm not a racist, in fact, I'v dated several black, hispanic, asian women. I just don't think white or asian women should be allowed to do that. http://www.myspace.com/thetexanhasspoke I aim to misbehave!" WTF, I have seen this type of logic before, and I just don't get it. Why do so many wm believe that they are entitled to date/marry any race, but non white men (mainly black men) can't do the same? I belong to different IR groups on myspace and it use to shock me to see this type of mentality, but now I see it so commonly online. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this same type of Hypocrisy? Here is the link to the thread on imdb. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0690186/board/thread/77642143?d=89967509&p=1#89967509
Sounds like a troll trying to bait a response. In any case , it doesn't bother me. No one has a claim on me or a say over my life. I will do as I please and if someone wants to be upset by that, they are free to do so, but it won't change my choices.
He's a Texan cop too? I fear for the BM in his Department's jurisdiction. Especially if they're with a WW.
I think this is just one of those "consider the source" things. I don't think this idiot's respect is worth anything. To answer the OPs question - I'm sure the hypocrisy exists. It's really not any of my concern. The truth is that out in the world I really don't deal with much BS about IR relationships. This board and those who I talk with from here off site are really the only ones that I discuss such things with much. Sometimes I've experienced looks or odd questions or comments (moreso about my daughter) and typically I have to remind myself why someone may be looking or asking such things. It's just not something I think about much. Wow Johnnysmile - sounds like there are some really odd people in your neck of the woods! I haven't seen that at all.
Hypocrisy.......Consider.... -KnCA Yes, and I'll be the first to admit that I have wasted energy on some of these types before. And I should react like below: :smt015 -- .......all the while enjoying the sweet taste of.........

Dealing With.........The new 2008 Mantra. Let the Trolls Go Hungry Let the Trols Go Hungry Let the Trolls Go Hungry Let the Trolls Go Hungry
The typical "do as I say, and not as I do" mindset. People who live their lives according to double-standards are usually the most narrow-minded people. They'll swear up & down that the earth is really flat when you know and believe for a fact that it's round.
i find all types of people hypocritical about IR dating, race, etc. black people equally as whites, female as equal as male.
If you go around the internet looking for black women-white men blogs and such, you'll find that a lot of black women seem to think that we, as black men, do the same thing; bitch when we see a black woman with a white man while having a non black woman in our arms. In any case, hypocrisy is always irritating.
I personally think black women wish BM were bitching about them being with WM...and when we don't they manufacture it. The BM I know are waiting for WM to take them off our hands
not bitchin at all about sistahs being with white guys--more power to them and i give them a big smile!
You most certainly can add me to that list of BM. When I see a WM/BW pairing, I never even give it a second look, or thought. We BM get the most flack from all other races, it's as if we're not supposed to have anybody, not even a fine light skinned sista. I get stared at even when I'd be out with a mulatto. So I don't give a rip, because they all are going to hate us for just breathing.
