I can honestly say the most disappointing thing in the USA to me was KFC. At home, it's kind of good - although we don't have biscuits (biscuits = cookies for us)... I drove from Idaho Falls to dallas - that's 1500 miles in two days with about 5 hours sleep in my car. I was craving road trip food...and I thought "oh yeah - I will go to KFC to get through the trip". KFC at home is famous for their chips (fries)....they are by far the best fast food chips anywhere...so, at about mile 1000, I stopped...I was so excited! AND... ..the stuff is foul...so bad. I was devastated. I refused to eat there again. I tried popeyes (we don't have that at home) and yes - it is far superior to KFC in the USA, but still not as good as KFC in Aus... Worst day in 6 months.
what in the #*$@... this thread is making me hunnnnngrry speaking of chicken..any 'Boston Market' fans in here? I used to go to one, but my stomach kept hurting after eating that shyte :smt030
LOL yeah, i know. but i couldnt really eat at all, because i lost my appetite when you were here for some reason.
guys don't tell their girls everything... he probably used to sneak off by himself, while you were asleep, to see if he could find anything that resembled a pizza spot
no, i think he could tell me that. there is no secret about it. lol and we actually ordered pizza a few times, but it was not Pizza hut anyway. btw even though i dont really like pizza, i love Pizza hut!
oh and i havent seen anybody mentioning sushi in here! I love sushi! and as far as American eating places, i would rather go to Donkin Donuts, we dont have anything like that in Russia and i really miss it....
now that am thinking about it how can i eat with out bread almost all the food i have i eat bread with it maybe the only food i don't is pasta
dunkin donuts is the spot krispy kreme was good too..but dunkin has more varieties... if u can get the stuff when it's fresh and soft... OMG !!
Smashed avocado with garlic and onion powder and corn chips to dip. I make it at least twice a week. I love this stuff.
yeah!! My favorite is boston cream. btw i thought they were always fresh, cause they were always soft.
Bryant can probably testify to this, but some Dunkin Donuts in the states, leave out the hard donuts, that are NOWHERE near soft... for me, it's been a matter of timing... sometimes I get the good ones, that are still fluffy and sometimes I get the stale ones, that make loud noises when you throw them against a random wall.
I don't really like donuts/doughnuts. The Dunkin Donuts where I live is run by an ex convict and no cops are allowed to eat donuts/doughnuts there. I've always thought that was funny.
I know! The biscuits and mashed potatoes make the meal. But yeah, i also vote for Popeyes over KFC anyday of the week.
But i did! Remember when we were coming out of the university, and we were about to get pizza. I said, let's get some pizza hut. But you and Ula said it was too far, and we would just go to the other place instead.
There were plenty of times when i wanted to just sneak off and go find something to eat, but since i couldn't speak a lick of Russian, i knew i would get lost and never be able to find my way back.
