Oh wow.In Germany we either don't tip or just give small tips. The taxes rate is so high ..lol. also employers or waitresses, etc. calculate the hourly wages so that tips aren't really necessary(they say..Lol). We also have to pay for sauces at Mc Donalds. In a maxi menu you usually get the ketchup or mayonaise(1 you can choose) for free but other than that you have to pay it. The age for clubbing is 16 if you leave at midnight which makes no sense because usually that's when the fun starts or 18 for as long as you wish. We are allowed to drink beer and other low percentage alcoholic drinks at the age of 16 .Everything else at age 18. 18 is also when we can vote chancellor(president),and drive a car. Some driving schools now let you get a license at the age of 17 but most get theirs at 18. Also getting a drivers license here is quite expensive. About 2000 Euros. That is abut 2700-2800 Dollars I think. We have to go to driving schools and take theory and practical lessons in cars that are designed so that on the passenger seat site there is the same equipment that's necessary to drive a car than on the driver's side so in case you mess up your driving teacher can save you
Yeah you can get your License here at 17 too that's when I got mine, we also have theory test and practical test, alot of instructors have dual controls here also (A footbrake on the passenger side) but it's not a requirement. But bloody hell 2000 euros, wow that's dear, do you mean including lessons or is that for the tests, our's is £31 for the theory and £62 for the practical, you have to have passed your theory before you can do the practical.
The 2000 Euros is for study material(books),lessons, tests, and the license you get in the end. You also need to pass the theory test before being allowed to take the practical test
US- we dont all listen to Hip Hop, wear basketball sneakers, talk loudly, not well travelled or not well educated. we arent all obese, tv watchers, mall shopping, people
We don't dress in loud clothing when going overseas or keep the same party in power for more than eight years. Also,we don't elect White men as president all the time- a change that is unthinkable anywhere else in the Western world.
I have to dissagree with you on that one... There are European countries that have women as presidents. The predjudist agains blacks in Europe is less than here (like I said before racism in Europe is more built on religion (not better, just is)) - but the black population is much, much smaller in Europe and thus, the likelihood of it happening is smaller.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article1816494.ece Nyamko Sabuni is someone that just popped into my mind - she has done a tremendous job in Swedish politics. Not that we have presidents, but if someone that has the right qualifications and experience and is liked they would be elected primeminister and there are a few other European countries I can see this happeing in also. Like I said, as the black populaion is so much smaller, the probability is smaller just based on numbers. It would be very very cool if she did become prime-minister of Sweden.... first black and first woman prime-minister all in one!
