Damn, John Hughes, director of Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Buehler's Day Off, amongst others, died of a heart attack in NYC today. He was 59. This is a bad year to be a celebrity. Being a child of the 80s, this is quite the shocker. I loved his movies!!

Awesome movie, awesome scene. Thanks for the reminder. :smt023 I think I will watch that movie this weekend.
That sucks. John Hughes was a good director. I liked his movies, especially The Breakfast Club. He will be missed
Hughes' world was Suburban Chicago and the only outsider I had seen was in Sixteen Candles that was that Asian guy, the exchange student-who got a girlfriend.
John Hughes movies were the things I skipped school for and then later wathced my my now 17 year old daughter. RIP PS. My quote is from Ferris Bueller
Weird Science came out in '85, my all time favorite Hughes movies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iRZDcsqSt0
