John Hughes...RIP

    Damn, John Hughes, director of Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Buehler's Day Off, amongst others, died of a heart attack in NYC today.

    He was 59.

    This is a bad year to be a celebrity.

    Being a child of the 80s, this is quite the shocker. I loved his movies!! :(

    That is shocking. He was a good director and I love his films. He would be missed.

    Ahh that's a shame I liked his films, Ferris Buellers day off was the best!

    That sucks. John Hughes was a good director. I liked his movies, especially The Breakfast Club. He will be missed

    Hughes' world was Suburban Chicago and the only outsider I had seen was in Sixteen Candles that was that Asian guy, the exchange student-who got a girlfriend.

    John Hughes movies were the things I skipped school for and then later wathced my my now 17 year old daughter. RIP
