NC, I hope you don't let their presence affect the way you live your life. I would encourage you to NOT give them that kind of power. Remember, the vast majority of these vile idiots are uneducated, simple-minded, cowards. In terms of self defense, we should all be vigilant, take a course on martial arts, carry pepper spray, and/or research the firearm laws in NC and make sure you are trained and in compliance. There will always be those you object to others based on race, religion, politics, nationality, ect. Just keep vigilant, but not paranoid about such people. And the even more sad thing about this is, Im reading the post date on
the huffington and it was posted October 3, and it says early saturday morning so Im guessing it happened on October 3rd, I didnt even hear about this, the news jumped all over (and I say this with respect.) that girl who was missing Jaycee Dugard, but a white woman gets killed for being with a black man, couldnt get that kind of coverage.

This is tought to say, but It's being allowed thats why people are now
taking shots at interracial couples. We as a country acte like it was completely over(the hatred for mix race couples.) And we got caught putting our guard down and dont address in this country enough the racism towards IR. Thats why even a fn' judge felt it was okay to go there and not marry an IR couple.

 

Yes, there are some hardcore nitwit racists in North Carolina, well before I came into this world. Johnston County (which is southeast of Raleigh), used to be known as "Klan Country", based on the large influences of the KKK, prior to the Civil Rights Movement. Screw these morons who intimidate you based who you date, too bad if they don't like it, that is none of their business.

There is also growth of black racist groups, which hasn't been talked about anywhere in the media (other than Fox News, of course).

Maybe it was good that it was not so much in the media, because that can cause people who will do it again because they heard it in the media.

OR

maybe there should be some research done, of how other people are reactiong on B&W mixed couples.
It would be good to know, if it is just a single phenomea, or if threre are people actualy hunting for us.
