The day both party avoid bickering over social issues and takes fiscal responsibility more seriously is the day that America is going to be AMERICA. Both party should drop these holier than thou extreme fanatic "christian" reps and voters. These folks act like Jesus Came down to their dinner table and talk to them regarding gay, abortion and other social issues. Get off your high horse you delusional hypocritical freaks! Havent ya heard of live and let live? Yes I am a fanatic Christian but I am a social liberal and am not going to vote for any representatives based on gay and abortion issues. That is ridiculous to say the least.

Gotta agree with you GZ. It's always the holier than thou people who screw up and give religion a bad name. I've found that as a general rule the people who go around telling everyone what a good Christian they are, and trying to tell everyone else what God says they should do, are the people who don't know what they are talking about and rarely practice what they preach. Hypocrites annoy me.

I dont live in a red state but I have in the past. Anyways, the hardcore anti-abotionist that I'm talking about were in nowhere but right in Chi town in the bluest of blue state where Obama nation emerged. These folks voted dem but they were hard core anti-abortionist religious zealots.
