Thats great that you both were able to make things work. It just would be very hard for me to make things work from that far away. How did you guys feel when you first meet each other face to face? Did things click instantly or were the not what you expected?
tarshie always so kind. btw, how are the wallabies doing? I heard you got smoked by the springbocks again u even watch rugby?
nah, not a rugby watcher. down south we're all about aussie rules, up north its rugby. we're doing well in the tennis though
Man, I have I crush on a few ladies, a couple for their intellectual witty post, a few for their looks, where one I'm just darn smitten with...I need an in lol
The long distance thing isn't for everyone, no doubt. But if you're both equally committed, it's definitely doable. My husband and I met online - we actually talked for almost 4yrs before we met face to face. People thought we were nuts, but we've been together for 10yrs now and married almost 3. Things were exactly what we expected when we first met in person. Granted you have all the jittery nerves and stuff, but putting that aside, it was great - I remember it like it was yesterday. Ahhh, makes me smile. But yeah - it's not everybody's cup of tea, but it worked beautifully for us.
Good for you suprchic. Committment is a huge step for a lot of people, but to have it with such a distance, that's awesome...shows the amount of trust and respect you have for each other and yet another step of what makes you so special! Also gives hope for others!
lol its cool, no offense taken you are my friend crush too. I am talking about someone else on the board
Thanks, girl! I'm always so touched when people talk about how me and the hubs' story gives them hope. It makes me feel good. We both know that it was all God that got us through. We had some really rough times, but we did it. I'm so thankful we stuck it out. Oh, and I don't know if you saw it, but awhile ago, I posted a link to my blog that has our entire story written out - feel free to read it. It's a little long, but you'll get the WHOLE scoop. http://huneygirl07.blogspot.com Knock yourself out.
Bookworm, if you need any inspiration, indeed a spark of creativity, this here be it rightchere! She's even given you the title... "An Ocean Between Us: The Story of Ol' Henrock & Suprchic73".
What a beautiful story! Thanks for sharing it with me. It says so much and gives me a whole new respect for "all this"... And your hubby is a doll! Congrats on your baby girl too...I thank God everyday for all he has brought to my life, we are very blessed!
I know right LOL @ people thinking u were nuts. People judge a lot. "are you going to stay on that computer to talk to him for any longer? Or are you going to go out and live?". Some people really don't understand. Thanks for sharing your story btw
I'm pretty sure this dude is flattered that a woman as amazing as TS would be crushing on him. He sounds like a private individual, though, and would probably prefer not being talked about during his hiatus from the forum...
