Exploring the self is what being "alive" is truly all about. I recall as a youngster, I'd relax my hair and make it look like that "grease" character, whats his name, john travolta? I would walk around the school and people would say i was trying to "be" white. Obviosuly, my mother almost smacked me (lol), because she thought i was "being" gay, when honestly i was merely exploring my fashion sense. And after glorifying in the shock value for a day or two, I never had any urge to explore that fashion type again. And my sisters were the proverbial "white actors", as they pretty much wasted their lives sitting in tiny cubicals within the library reading books many of us would consider "stale". But Ive always thought that calling the concept of intellectual soundness being an aact of "white" was blowing things way out of proportion because they were not acting white, they were being "clever". And i wasnt exploring the concept of being white when i did my hair, but simply trying a different look. So my thoughts when seeing a white women act black? She's trying something new, as long as she doesnt take the piss its all good. I mean, being ignorant should not be associated with being black. You can be as ghetto as you deem necessary and still be inclined to intellectually elevate yourself. Likewise you can be the "whitest" blacksheep and still possess high levels of ignorance.
What does "acting black" really mean? I once knew two white girls in my school who you could say "acted" black though they lived in a mostly white neighborhood, and only liked black guys. Did I like them, hell no I didn't because I knew damn well they were being what they thought blacks acted like(well where I lived most bw did act like that, and I hated it). However they did have a nice ass.
