This isn't really about a performance issue, per se, but I have nowhere else to post this. LOL. I have a trailer on my computer from the very first movie I was involved in. I ripped it from a DVD onto my computer and used mpeg streamclip to rip into on my hard drive but the file is freaking 130MB. I can't upload it anywhere. Is there a way I can compress it to make it a lot smaller and able to email, upload onto Facebook, etc? I can't find much online about it.
Noob there's a few ways to go about this.... Lemme know if u want me to use crayon /condescending tone use a compressing program like winrar or winzip. A quick googling of either one will lead u to there respective site. When you get winrar, you will be able to compress the file, which allows people to download a smaller file, with the addition of a decompressing stage after download. To further enhance user accessibility, you can divide the compressed file into smaller chunks. This allows people to download one file at a time, with sizes varying from 10 megs or something like that. Once all the files are downloaded, they will be able to reform the original file through winrar or winzip. If that makes no sense, think of voltron
You should be able to google dividing rar files 78 megs is nothing, but u still got shitbirds that don't like anything over 5000KB Trust daddy on this one aight, he knows what's good for ya
Okay, when I get my computer virus all squared away and I have some free time, I'll google it and let you know. If daddy is wrong, daddy will have some esplainin' to do. :smt079
If daddy is wrong, daddy is wrong doesn't change the fact that he knows what's best for u. Now come get this protein shot for your face girl Seriously tho, it should work For anti virus, get avg. I swear it's already succeeded for me where mcafee has failed
I do have AVG on my computer. But I can't start a scan because it says the program file is infected. I can't do a system restore because it says my rstrui.exe file is infected. I started a new user account so I can use my computer, but I believe I'm screwed when it comes to saving any pictures, etc that I want saved on my permanent account.
Pro-tip pay attention I'm only going to tell you this once. Buy a backup drive for storing stuff you dont want to lose, in the event you have to format and reinstall windows on the main drive to nuke the infection. This way, you can still keep old files, unless you find out that the backup disk is better off with a format also.
I'm asking for a back up drive for Christmas. The spyware bugger is gone, hopefully. I have to leave my computer on all night to scan it. ARGH!!
:smt005 Sounds like someone wants a fix but doesn't want to disclose the probable cause of the symptoms.
And to think, I actually had a dream about my computer having a virus this morning. Now I know why I had it!!
