Sounds like a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Your friend on the left looks EXACTLY like a friend of mine......I show you her pic and you'll see.
The US Steel Tower with it's tacky 20 million dollar UPMC logo The August Wilson African American Cultural Musuem
Pittsburgh seems to have a nice mix of modern and colonial architecture. As a Rust Belt city, it's doing leagues better than Cleveland or Detroit.
Very true, but I hear Detroit is on a nice come up. A friend's wedding day I love this pic so I'm throwing out there
lol...NONGER...!!!! briliant arvo until i had to come home to vacuuming & folding laundry...!!! the friend on the left has a mum who is chinese and a dad who's hungarian. post me the pic of your friend on fb lovely :smt023
Then they are very similar in background. I will show you and you can see. She moved to TX so I don't get to see her now.
City planners will never revert to such urban designs. Im sorry but the days of wide streets and victorian architecture are gone. Currently its about streetscapin- eliminating vehicular affects on roads by making it more pedetrian freandly. That street for example is probably 20m wide, way too much....you could simply crop the ends locate a raised island in the centre transforming it from an 8 lane road to 4 and add a bigger sidewalk pavement and street furniture. It looks good though, just old. That one looks decent, just because the bridge architecture is good. The rest im afraid needs a queer make over.
This is Buffalo, NY! We have a SKYLINE!! OMG! American side of Niagara Falls. Buffalo's City Hall Pedestrian Bridge in Delaware Park, where, at certain times of the year, you'll also see this: Shakespeare in Delaware Park!!
BUT, I don't actually live IN Buffalo... here are some pics of my hometown. We are right on the Erie Canal...those are Locks. On the right are the old locks, original to the canal...on the left is the new Lock. Yes, the locks are still in use! The upside-down bridge. There are lots of theories on why it was built upside down, but it sure makes for interesting stories. We have cool architecture! And wine! ...and caves. Oh yeah... We also have our own theater---my home away from home. The Palace. This is what it looks like inside..
Nice pics folks! Kayaking in the Allegheny river Northshore Trail, once of the worst trails I've encountered where biking and jogging accidents are common I don't get Pittsburgh's art, just makes no type of sense
