That guy is right with many of his statements except with the lowering of voting and democracy not working. Fact is the elite created the country and since then we have had a system designed on their idealogy. 435 people to tell 308 million what to do! That's a joke. That's an elite pleocracy if I have ever seen one. We have worked on eliminating it but we need to continue to make a democracy work on all stages where we have an informed voter. edit: electoral college needs to go! and the popular vote needs to be in charge.
Correct, arch. Also, not enough Americans are participating in politics, especially the youth within America. A lot of revisions within the political system need to be made.
somewhat to mostly true but look at the obama election at how many of the young demographic came out to vote and btw did you vote?
The youth vote did increase and voted overwhelmingly in favor of Barack Obama. I was 17 years old back in Nov. of 2008, I turned 18 in Nov. 2009, so I was unable to vote due to age constraints. Since I'm 19 years old now, I was able to vote for Democrats in the 2010 elections and I plan on voting for Obama and Democrats in 2012.
