I see nothing wrong with this picture. It's beautifully crafted art!

Well, that may be to you, my dear friend. [IMG]

I know what you're going to tell me that I should take it lightly, but I consider that picture is very of blasphemy against the Holy God! That's why I'm not laughing over this picture that you're considered that it's "beautifully crafted art".

    Oh, my butt! [IMG]

I'm sorry, my friend. You have no idea how angry I really am right now. Have you ever thought about posting the picture before me and anyone else?

If it was intended to offend you, then yes it would be bad. But I didn't and quite frankly, I could care less. This isn't a picture of someone close to you, be it family or friend. That would be disrespectful if I did. But in the case of comedy and when it comes to religion and politics, there are no exceptions since everything is on the table. Everything faces scrutiny and no holds barred.

As a Catholic, I find that picture highly distasteful, offensive and blasphemous. I understand the principle of freedom of speech, but that brings with it some responsibility. This abridges that, I have to say.

That's what I said all along, LaydeezmanCris. I pray to God that he will forgive him! He don't know what he was doing when he posted that picture.

There's nothing wrong with the picture. It's not a matter if you're a Catholic. It's a matter you don't allow trivial things like this upset you. I live in a deeply religious state and even some of the more religious people here find images like that amusing.

You're free to critique, but it's also imperative that you realize that there's no offense to that, religious or not.

Actually, there's everything wrong with it as it takes a sacred image of Jesus Christ (the Son of God) and replaces it with the direct enemy of God (Satan). Now tell me what could be more troubling than that? That's also a very mortal sin I might add. Whether or not some people you know do not take umbrage at it is neither here nor there, it's still a blasphemous act and I can only hope God forgives you and others who indulge in this kind of nonsense.

Sacred!? There's nothing sacred about a man-made marketing scheme to control people. And to use a fictitious caricature, based on a myriad of deities and other gods that existed pre-Abrahamic is just the mother of all cop outs! Blasphemy would only count if, and only if, it directly attacked people who are close to you.

Family, friends, all those individuals and also political ideas which are prevalent and existing should matter more. To allow the imaginative and (in your case) lucrative institutions that are only out for themselves to cloud your thinking pattern on what's offensive is just plain wrong.

Really, I'm not to have this "debate" with you because I did it my entire life in college. I'll just say this - regardless of whether or not you find something harmless, the fact that others might find it in bad taste should be enough for you to reconsider. But if it doesn't, well then that's on you.

You're a successful attorney. You have real life situations to worry about, professional and personal, instead of someone criticizing your faith.

Your crazy ass would have to prove that there's some demonic entity that is pulling the strings as well as all the other conspiracy theory nonsense. I'm not the one who's blinded. You, however, listen to crap like this and for what? To uphold a fear that doesn't exist? That's only reserved for the mentally handicapped and highly deluded.
