Your comprehension skills have dwindled or clouded in a black veil because I've already addressed the similarities in my previous post. And watching an overrated bloodfest movie by some hoarse anti-Semitic nut who gushes at violence and bile won't persuade me at all. It was an okay movie, but based on the sales and popularity, it only reinforces that Christians of your ilk have a sexual fascination for violence. Compared to other Jesus movies, this is the bloodiest and probably the most fluffed.

I'm not directing to you that you fall into the social conservative nonsense. I'm aware of your political standings. But, like many who conservative, they have adapted into that dangerous worldview. And that's a sad result in converting into a holy-roly mindset. Luckily a few people here who are self-touted Jesus Freaks can still retain a sense of humanity in them.

It's official. You're now in God's hands. There's nothing that I can do for you, but remember this, my dear friend. I love you as my dear brother. I'm tired of arguing with you.

That got us nowhere. I'm ready to let it go and have Lord Jesus Christ to take care of you now. To let Holy God to watch you over. I'm going to walk away and never return to this sore conversation.

I wish you hadn't posted that photo.....

You're in a losing battle that you can't win. All you have are your convictions and nothing more. All this would have been settled if you simply didn't respond to the image and stuck with the topic at hand. But you allowed a simple picture get in the way of the bigger topic, which is about helping out. Arguing with someone over some dumb picture won't help people get better healthcare.

You should worry more about people who are starving and in need of help instead of something too silly.

Yes, I know who he is, hntr18. That's why I'm leaving him in the hands of God now. There's nothing that I can do for him. Lord ask of me not to argue no more and I must respect to let him work on him.

keep in mind i having nothing against religion in general or people's religious practices/rituals lol i just found ronald mcdonald funny except The church of scientology which in my belief is a straight up cult along with some interpretations of mormonism.

Let's be frank with one thing. All religions are cults, regardless of how mainstream they are. It seems contradictory when talking semantics, but the fact is that at one point, they were all small, but their influences spread through varied means, both positive and negative.

While I'm not a fan of organized religion in it's current form I do think respecting those who practice is just part of being a decent human being. I always here atheist(truly agnostics since there is absolutely no way of you KNOWING there isn't a God) talk about how ridiculous and childish religion is and that it's fairytale for adults. Well how about stop being the asshole who tries to ruin Santa Clause for kids. It makes you look like a jerk real talk.

yeah but will cults they brainwash you and usually have you cut all contact with human society aka your realtives and friends and make it nearly impossiable to get out and when if they do former members become severely mentally scarred also cults sometimes have suicide pacts

Andrae, if you're planning on jumping into this discussion, then realize the following:

    1) Being a decent human being doesn't mean I have to pander to their bullshit. I can respect people on their beliefs, but I have low tolerance for fundamentalism and this is what's being demonstrated on some people here. If they keep it to themselves and actually not preach the nonsense, then respect would be gained. Respect is NEVER automatic. It has to be earned.

    2) Learn to know what the hell you're talking about. Agnosticism is when the individual affirms the position that the existence of god is unknowable. An atheist simply lacks the belief in a god. Big fucking difference, kid. And for someone who constantly regurgitates to a certain someone that they need logic, you need to brush up on that yourself.

    3) If expressing my damn thoughts without having to include "in my opinion" makes a jerk, then so be it. You don't see me putting a gun into Bradin or anyone else's head and eliminate that way of saying. If they're trying to antagonize me with their holy-roly nonsense, then I'll respond with agitation because these people are absolutely bat-shit insane!

Exactly and that's how all religions work. They use fear and even "magic" to influence people into their worldview and indoctrinate them. Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and all other religions practice this indefinitely. The only difference the old religions and the new ones are their ages. Scientology is as legitimate as Christianity since they all hold some form of absurdity. One doesn't have to be 2000 years old to be legit.

I don't get why you said that to him. He had a good point.

Actually the agnostic position is they don't know whether there is a God or not. Atheist pressume they have the knowledge that there is no God not that they don't simply believe but one does not exist nor ever existed which goes against their scientific evidence. To say there is no God would logically imply that you have provable evidence that one doesn't exist. Absence of evidence doesn't mean evidence of absence it just means you are unaware of the data or variables that would support or disprove your assertion.
BBW I don't say these things to be a dick I think it out.

As for points 1 and 3 I see where you're coming from so carry on sir.

But you're not thinking clearly. For someone who identifies themselves as an atheist, the idea of god is lacking. In other words, these individuals would have believe in a god first. And why is it so? It's because the idea of god doesn't register at all. And there's more than enough provable evidence pointing to that direction as well. It's just that human beings are generally too ingrained in the idea of dualism, mysticism and spirituality. That's a thinking standpoint.

Other people, many whom are apologists to agnosticism and want to assert that all people are agnostic because of the lack of knowing. There's such a thing as certainty and I'm very certain there's no god.
