If he meant corporatism, that's one thing, but if not, it seems there are several definitions..for example, this one -

Fascist - one who believes in a one party state that has one supreme leader leader. a tightly controlled economy that works closely with the corporate leadership and upholds the interests of private capital.

I think it's more of an exaggeration than anything else. Fascism, first and foremost, is firmly against capitalism, laissez-fairre and other forms of privatization of businesses. He's correct in a way that businesses, not just Wall Street determine the success of a country. But if it was a fascist economy, then the model would be that governments still have a say so and eliminates the autonomy of businesses.

That could be true, but I highly doubt it. He always specified how corporations control the government, hence why I'd say he's basically saying the government is merely a puppet for the government. There is a slight bit of truth given that money talks and businesses can determine whether the economy is sound or tank. And their influence in a constitutional republic like this is highly noticeable.

 

Obama is president of the U. S., NOT Jesus Christ. Black people really need to get away from that ONE savior mentality, this ONE person is going to save the masses.

You have stocks, commodities, oil, futures, etc. the world over are hitting all time lows. The lowest its ever been in a generation, EVERY WHERE. How someone can think ONE man can make ONE country go against the trend of the world is beyond me.

Agreed. Besides, one man can't do this alone. Especially in a complicated checks and balances system we have, things will take time to get anything done.

You have the House, the Senate and the President. Before any bill can pass, all THREE has to be in agreement. Now if this was a dictatorship, I could see you attacking Obama.

But then again, if this WAS a dictatorship, all of us on the site would have been shot for saying ANYTHING about the government, good or bad.

 

Exactly. My personal take on it is that we're so use to watching two and a half hour movies where everything could get done in a small bit of time. But this is only President Obama's first time in office and the only real crux in the matter is that the House is no longer a Democratic majority. Plus it's far more partisan than it ever was thanks to the likes of the TEA Party rummaging themselves into the scene and losing any sense of compromise.

Their methods have only further damaged the country and all this vitriol will only make it worse unless next year's election we see a shift. Current polls suggest that the Democrats are slight more favorable in Congress, despite the polling numbers of Congress it at an all time low approval rating.

If this was an authoritarian government, and we speak nothing but praise, then we'd probably get paid in the process or get certain incentives for our efforts in making the government sound good. If we speak ill, well...our names and faces will be wiped away from the system.

 

You don't have to have any experience to be black. You just got to physically be black. so this quote and the previous one is completely wrong.

WOW! Good post brother. My only critique is that perhaps black people going backwards 30 years wont necccessarily be a bad thing. Our families and communities were alot more unified and together back then. That was before all the massive govt. welfare culture of the 80's and the degenerate slut/fuck culture Imma strong independent black women and dont need a man (even though 70% of BW live at or below the poverty line) began. After obama we need to revalute ourselves in the black community and never again go whoring after another Bill Clinton or Barack Obama. We need to create our own communities and have our OWN leaders. We shouldnt have to share our leaders with others. That is the only way we will improve.

 

Correction: Black families & communities were alot more unified & together before the bullshit Reagan trickle down economics/greed is good/introduction of crack to urban America 80's culture that lead to this country being in the hole it's currently in.
