1. How do you feel about your current age? So far, so good. Before I turned 30 a couple of years ago I was told that this was going to be much better than my 20s. At the ripe old age of 32, I'd have to say that I agree. More money and more sense is never a bad thing. 2. Have you accomplished what you thought you would by the time you reached that age you are? In a strange way, yes. Damn shame about that student loan debt, though... 3. What big birthday are you looking forward to next? I'm not sure...each year of life is another year of defying death and generally beating the odds, especially in a society where not enough Black men make it to this age. So I guess the answer is...all of them
1. How do you feel about your current age? I just turned 54 last week. When I reached 50 a few years ago, I felt that I had a large enough body of work (career experiences, relationships, travel) that nobody could accuse me of not knowing what I was talking about. Indeed, at most of my jobs, I am considered kind of an elder statesman, which, to me, is a pretty good feeling. 2. Have you accomplished what you thought you would by the time you reached that age you are? I don't like to go by lists, like a lot of people do. I set certain goals for myself, and if I don't reach them, I evaluate why that is and if it was indeed important enough to worry about. 3. What big birthday are you looking forward to next? As long as I make it to the next one, I think that's pretty good
I too am guilty of this habit. One day with the kids, 2 or 3 with friends, and 2 or 3 with my significant other(at least in the past). Mark and I happened to share the SAME birthday, which was great....sigh...
Now that's whats up pops. I respect dudes like you who age gracefully. We can learn so much from you.
Hai Toes: I'm sorry to h/j your thread... TDK: Remember when I asked if I could holla at chu about finances? It's reached critical and I need a strong mathematician to help me figure out figures. Chat? Please?
