I have had the same insurance for more than 7 years. It has gone up every year so what's new.

 

Your problem is that you are too honest a citizen.....there too many holes in the system available for you to make-up that cost....shed your sincerity and learn to slither like 47% of the electorate.......

 

Name one thing that hasn't gone up in the last 10 years. Do you charge more for your services than you did 10 years ago? You assume costs are going up because of healthcare reform vs things just cost more or her employer changed the plan and she will get more benefits. Don't comment unless you know the specifics.

My groceries cost waaaaay more than last year but I am not blaming on the healthcare bill. You can't blame everything on that. :smt069

I hear you Bookie....I don't know all the particulars of your health insurance, but it seems very unreasonable to go up that much in one month...a year, yes, but not a month...this economy is sucking the life out of many...I wish I could say we charge more now for our services than we did before this economic bomb, but unfortunately, we have to charge less! And not just a little, a lot...yet our bills are not staying the same, they keep going up...something is just not right with this picture! I feel your pain girl...!!!

 

Years ago, I used to have to pay $45/month for health insurance in my province. But it's been free for over a decade or maybe two now. I'm very happy with my insurance But I do have to pay an arm and a leg for insurance while I'm down here in the US, which does not make me happy

 

And this is the very problem with healthcare today

Free and quality healthcare just seems like something nobody wants to happen

 

Which is weird to me (not wanting it).

 

The paradox is that if I was an insurer....I would insure a Bookie, a Jordan, a TC, a Petty, a FG and a Athena all immediately at a minimum cost with an absolute minimum deductible.....Why?.....Because these paymasters ironically all foot the bill as the ideal customer....Health conscious, they work-out and eat responsibly for 15 years and yet still would pay me my monthly fee for 16 years straight without filing a claim.... TDK, however would have to pay much higher deductible.....

He had an unofficial bet with Satyr over Obama winning the election. TDK was worried that Obama wasn't going to win and Satyr said he was a shoe in, so TDK said if Obama did win and for even doubting that he did he wouldn't post on the forum for 90 days. Satyr let him off the hook after the election but TDK said he would be a man of his word and not post, so that's why he hasn't been posting. I have noticed him lurking a couple times though.
