A lot of backspacing It was also spaced out over 6 hours or so, by the time I got home, I wasn't feeling it as much.

One of my dominican friends got me Brugal recently. It was my first time drinking it, and it is very deceptively strong.
Nothing but water today It was tough, being in a round of people who all ordered Coke,Coke Light or beer. I have to avoid foods and drinks with acids, and with the hypothyroidism and therefore slowed down metabolism also have to be careful with carbs, sugar and fats. Tomorrow for New Years Eve I'll allow myself one glass of champagne though, despite the acids.
Red wine is good because of the grapes. There is an over the counter drug called resveratrol. It has be shown in research to slow aging and is great for the heart. I'll probably buy the resveratrol. I do not drink.
True, wine is healthy in moderatrion, but due to gastritis type C I have to avoid anything with acids as much as I can, hence can't have wine or champagne very often.
I had a couple of glasses of Calatayud at home after the countdown and bought a pint of Old Speckled Hen that I haven't had a chance to drink yet.
Love it. Not my fave, but I do like it. I can't wait to polish off that pint tomorrow night after my son hits the hay while I watch the daily news. (God I sound like an old man! )
