You really think its the will of the people that decides whether people have guns are not? Are you high? Gun rights aren't just about the fear of government control its the recognition that we in the US live between two border states that flood the country with illegal drugs which brings with it violence. Our gun violence stats are mainly aligned with criminal enterprise not your average citizen getting into a beef with another and then shooting them. I have to say I really don't like your high and mighty position as if Australians aren't still human beings. Under the same circumstances your little band of ex con descendants would act similarly but conditions are different there. Don't let the media hype fool you, every single one of us is one natural disaster or economic collapse from being just like The Congo, Laos, or even Bosnia.
Its far easier to blame the tools of destructions than the conditions that create the violence. Its no coincidence that countries with better economic conditions suffer little violence. The better taken care of people are the less likely they are to turn to violence. How many violent deaths occur in Iceland or Monte Carlo now compare that to a place like Hondarus or The Cheq Republic. For as many worldly people as we have on this forum mofos love being close minded.
Yes, I think it's the will of the people. It's the people who can rise and take a stand and it's the people who vote. History the world over shows that change can happen if the voices are loud enough and people are willing to stand together to fight for a cause. I must apologise if I have been coming across as high and mighty as that has never been my intention nor is it how I feel. I just get frustrated when I'm told something cannot be done when it can. As for the convict comment, whatevs. It stings more when delivered by a pom (and it's normally said because we've beaten them at sport or we are comparing weather). Again, debating about this subject manner will go no where as we live in 2 completely different countries with 2 completely different outlooks
So it's the will of the people and not economic conditions that set the tone? Interesting notion guess people in the third world arent banding together and arent speaking loud enough.

Now imagine if Attila and his huns did have guns.. I'm sure that section in our history books would be doubled in length. Edit: guns can't have huns
What could be more drastic than changing the demographic landscape of Asia and Europe due to people running for their lives from Asia to get away? If he had a gun maybe the people that made it to Europe would have been scared enough to swim the Atlantic instead of finally getting some rest? :smt095
lol I don't why that happened. Did you hear they're gonna be performing at the VMAs so excited :freehug:
Hard to speculate on that one. If they had had guns maybe the opposition wouldn't have put up a fight resulting in less death.
What are arm boobs? I've heard of front boobs and back boobs but never have I heard of arm boobs!!! If I sit on them, are they soft like marshmallows or firm like oranges?
Anyways, I'm no gun enthusiast and I'm not passionate about the gun control argument one way or the other. I'm also no American apologist nor am I patriotic. I just do not favor a government controlling every aspect of my life. If the purpose of prohibiting guns is to save lives, why don't we have as much honest outrage with all of the other things that cause high ... in most cases higher fatality rates y/y than guns. Lets get better tobacco, alcohol, shit food, and automobiles regulation. Would the world be a safer place without drunks behind the wheel of 2 ton death machine? Absolutely! So why not ban both cars and alcohol? Also, whatever gun death statistics you're looking at, cut that by around 60% to account for suicide. That should help us feel safer.
People throw themselves down to too many conclusions, including a certain somebody eager to post news about victims and the murder suspects. In reality, there are just two blacks and one white guy who have committed the crime. I know, I know...the information may seem minimal, but it's accuracy that matters. Paniro187, you're a funny guy, but if you wish to post news, at least be honest about it.
