I'm a dentist,working in a clinic with children up to 14 years old so,in a way,I have a small part in their big,beautiful smiles
Yia sou,ti kaneis? I'm from Athens.Symi? I've never been there, but I've been told it's a very beautiful island. You should visit Greece, you'd love it here.Do you have any relatives in Symi?
I'm currently employed as a chef at a major hotel chain. I and my business partner are trying to get our catering business off the ground. We eventually want to open a restaurant. I love making food look good enough to eat.
Before I started grad school, I seriously considered going back to school to be a pastry chef. Then I looked up how much money they make and decided to go a different route. :smt043 Though eventually I'd love to at least take a class or two and learn how to bake new and exciting desserts. I remember reading an interview with George Clooney several years ago when he said he worked as a shoe salesman and he said that women ALWAYS lie about their shoe size. Do you find that to be the case? I'm just curious. I have small feet to begin with, so I've never felt the need to lie about my shoe size (if I made them any smaller, I'd be shopping in the girls section - though I do own a pair of girls shoes that fit me perfectly. LOL)
I am a business English trainer in Stuttgart, Germany - group trainings and specialized workshops such as negotiations, giving presentations and technical English.
LOL kidding about the shoesalesman bit, though i'd definitely be one for you ladies. I am sure women lie about shoe size and dress size the same way men lie about dick size.
I have been baking and decorating cakes, cupcakes and other desserts for over 20 years. I started working in an actual bakery 2 years ago, but have branched off into wedding planning for the bakery. I like the job and it's given me an opportunity to work from home and a little extra income. I also have a full time job as a Management Analyst for the DoD, which is a promotion I just received. Both jobs are busy, and it takes a lot of my time and energy to keep up with the work. Rewarding, yes. What I want to do for the rest of my life? ....ehhh not so much. I'd like to go to a culinary school and learn the different techniques, because I adore cooking. I also wanted to be a registered nurse or work with kids. I'm almost 40 and still don't know what I want to do when I grow up
Well, you sold it very well. LOL. That is awesome. When I was thinking about becoming a pastry chef, I thought about baking stuff on the side. And then some guy I went to high school with started posting pictures of cakes he decorated and they were incredible and I just realized that I don't have the time nor the talent to do that kind of thing, so I decided not to try. I did make a Barbie cake once and a cute mouse dessert made out of cherries and chocolate and marshmallows. Unfortunately the links to those pictures don't seem to want to work for me right now. :-(
I'd love to see your work . I actually started w a teddy bear cake for my oldest son's first b'day many years ago. It turned out crazy, but I had a blast decorating it. Eventually, if you keep at it, you will get better. I think baking for me is just a hobby. I enjoy it, but can only do it in spurts. I am more interested in cooking and planning meals.
I loved the creativity of making those items and I know that with practice I would be better at it...These are my first and only of these creations.
