My uncle Jerry, he was one of the coolest MoFo's I've ever known. Richard Pryor, why not?????? Luther Vandross.
I'd rather not resurrect anyone I know because resurrection has a price. And whomever I resurrect would resent me for bringing them back.
Yep, I've read and watched enough crazy stories to put me off resurrecting anyone. The old Hammer horror one where the wife brings back the husband and he's in unbearable agony because of the embalming
That was Tales From The Crypt with Sir Ralph Richardson, Joan Collins and Peter Cushing, who turned in a heart-felt performance in that film(Cushing's wife had died and he used her death to bring realism to his character whose wife also died). The film was made by Amicus(Hammer's competitor) which made other classics like Dr. Terror's House Of horrors and Tales That Witness Madness. I remember that story well because the couple was warned to make sure that they thought out their wishes carefully. And, well...
I only watched it the once when I was still a kid, but it stuck with me, I was always putting my TV on in my room to watch old films when everyone else was sleeping.
Those old horror films did give you something to think about back then. I watched them when I was a kid and still enjoy them. They were simple and well-acted. They didn't need much to scare you, they simply planted a suggestion in your head. Hammer's Quatermass movies utilized suggestion and lighting and impressive visuals at the time and they are still effective to this day. The film Night Of The Demon(Curse Of The Demon in the U.S.) was a great example of just because you don't see a demon, doesn't mean it isn't there(the inclusion of a demon was a last minute decision by the studio). It used lights, sound, a good script and actors, and the composer Clifton Parker score(arguably, Parker's most powerful score) and you have an unforgettable film(it was the first film to ever scare the shit out of me when I was a kid).
Whats more disturbing than i started this thread is that you are able to give details of an episode and side facts of it. Im just playing. Good read
Jimi Hendrix (as the insanely gifted 27 year old he left this world) My friend Gareth (only to ask him some questions) Everyone else who I have admired from afar or have known personally R.I.P
No one. Death is just a reminder that we can only leave behind memories, whether fabricated or true to experience.
I miss Red Fox. I remember sneaking and listening to my parents Red Fox tape as a kid and nearly dying from laughing.
