Maybe I missed something in the myriad of reports out there, but if Wilson feels he followed procedure in how he handled himself and has a clean conscience regarding how he handled the situation (which is how I interpreted his statement), what makes him a racist piece of sh*t as many are claiming here and elsewhere? What have I missed that indicates that this was racially motivated? Because from what I've read, I've not seen anything that definitively points to this case being racially motivated. I've only seen assumptions. I'm asking for respectful answers to a serious question. If you're just going to be an a**, don't respond. Please and thank you.

And since I'm sure TDK and everyone else surely read the 2000 plus pages of evidence themselves, I'm curious as to what was so compelling to bring the indictment? Besides the eye witnesses who were shown to be false....(saying it was an execution style killing, never mind there actually being no shots from the back of the head.)
Its more of a feeling due to accumaled issues with the police more so than specifically . Example a 68 yr old veitnam vet was killed at his home. Im gonna get u the article....if i remember the heart monitor or medical alert recorded the cops calling him a nigger and he ended up dead. If im not mistaken they got off
I'm hearing that many of the businesses destroyed were minority owned. One in particular, a black female owned bakery who just started out in the business. Many businesses are planning to move out of the town. On another note CBS News broadcasted yesterday that since Browns' death 155 blacks have been killed in Chicago alone in which dozens were between the ages of 13 to 19. Where is the outrage on that for starters. There is indeed a "War on Blacks".
And that's my point. I look for facts and truth. I'm not going to support a white cop who, based on all reports available, is suspect or downright wrong, because he's white, but neither am I going to jump on a bandwagon based on mostly assumptions and emotions because I date and love black men. I fully supported Trayvon Martin in that case because there were so many things GZ did wrong. I think TM should've run like hell instead of engaging GZ, but he wasn't a cop either. MB assaulted a police officer after being told to stop jaywalking. That doesn't mean he had to die, but he's not innocent of wrong doing either. And just because Wilson has a clear conscience about how he handled himself under the circumstances does not make him a racist. If someone can show me other reports of behavior that points to that, I'll reconsider my opinion.

Can I ask you a question, the longest relationship you have been in with a bm? I ask because i would think any amount of time you have been in a car and gotten pulled over or at least going down the road minding your own business when you two saw a cop,, if so your man demeanor, did it change? He start checking his mirrors? Made sure he had his id? Checked his speed, made sure his ass was in between the lines, in other words doing all he can to avoid being pulled over? I ask this because white people may do all the above things but black men not only do this but we clutch the steering wheel hoping that cop speeds by,, why? Because we already know just like that toddler that is just learning to get around and goes to touch that danger instinctively knows the danger,, and white people just wanting to avoid a ticket,, myself have never been a criminal and do all those things and more till that cop passes me by,, and if I am pulled over, that cop knows no guns are in this car i "announce" I'm getting my id, I don't move unless he ask me, and in my 44 yrs on this planet in such a confrontation never raise my voice even if I know and his ass knows I got pulled over for dwb , innocent white people never have that fear,, the fear is real and whatever brown did outside of attempted murder of that cop , he should still be on this side of the ground
I've been dating BM for about 6 years, longest relationship was almost 2 years. We NEVER encountered hostile behavior by law enforcement or otherwise. I can honestly say that I have not observed any of the men I've dated do what you described. Friends, yes. S/O's no. But Free, I'm speaking on the specifics of this case. I can't categorize Wilson as a racist or this as a racially motivated crime based on the reports and articles I've read. That's why I asked if I missed something important. I understand the climate out there. I date BM, I'm in enough groups with large numbers of black folks, and have been part of this forum for 3 years to understand and sympathize with what BM in this country face. And it's truly heartbreaking to me. More than I could make you understand. But I can't, in good conscience, just label every white cop who shoots a BM a racist just because, any more than I could label anyone else, just because.
You know it even black women don't get the real fear we have for police, can't tell you how many times growing up hearing ESP my aunt say if you aren't doing wrong you don't have to fear the police, I couldn't articulate it then, but at 12 when they came messing with us just hanging out in the neighborhood, doing stuff kids did back then we all knew not to piss them off and to obey and follow everything they said,, for those that doubt mb guilty as sin or innocent as all get out shouldn't have died , under these circumstances

Here's my thing, if you're a cop and some punk teenager is acting like he's all that, do you get out of your car without backup to confront him?? Or do you call in for backup and track him down for later arrest, like at his home?? Get a description, maybe his name from people in the area and ARREST HIM. Why was there a gun involved?? Why did the cop get out of his squad car where he was in control?? Only a cop who's itching to use deadly force gets out of his squad car alone to confront a young man who makes him feel like a '5 year old toddler'.:roll: If I'm a Detroit cop and I see a drunk 6'4, 315# Detriot Lion Ndamukong Suh walking in the middle of the road and he won't get on the sidewalk, no way in hell am I getting out of my squad car to confront him by myself. I don't doubt that for a second. History has proven time and time again that police can treat bm as second class citizens (up to and including murder) with little to no consequences. What a sad (and terrifying) reality.
