Shit certain Hispanics play that game too but you're right most Europeans don't ascribe to the race thing because they don't have to

They generally go by nationality, so if they are going to discriminate, they would be quick to exercise distaste towards them....like say the issue with Hungary and Romania. Or recently, Russia vs. Ukraine.

And I'm fairly aware that even in South and Central America...you do have racist groups, but they are fairly small...at least from my experience.

I think a huge part of this is because the dynamic between East Coast Latinos and African-Americans is similar to the dynamic between African-Americans and West Indians - there's some differences, but more in common than not. Being racially black has a lot to do with it, racial non-identification among some Dominicans notwithstanding. Within Latin culture, Mexicans are about as different from Caribbean and Afro-Latinos as Chinese people. Other than the Spanish language and the Church, we have nothing in common. Culturally I can understand Brazilians and Haitians better than I can understand Mexicans, and they're speaking different languages altogether, lol.

No doubt. White Cubans from the old school are among the worst. The ish they get away with on Radio Marti and Spanish-language radio is unheard of. There is some progress among the younger generations, though. Within each ethnic group those who claim the most European blood still dominate the societies and oppress the black and brown. The DR only got their first clearly black (still multiracial, but visibly African) president in our lifetimes. Before that they were all racially "ambiguous", even in a 90% black nation. Nevertheless, the culture, music, food, speech patterns and styles of worship are so clearly African in origin that it cannot be denied.

    That's pretty well noted

It's the white mans fault obviously :p

How dare he push his ideals onto other peoples (white is good, black is bad)

Same thing in Jamaica, most of the leaders I saw on the news were visibly mixed race and usually mixed with Indian but they had that accent so it didn't matter lol

Now everyone's crying because the blacks are pissed and kicking out the white people

Mugabe's mismanagement in Zimbabwe gets a pass by much of the population for similar reasons. People don't appreciate seeing 80% of the arable land in the hand of people who basically took their land and relegated them to second status. I wonder if Native Americans ever think about having an uprising here. Hell, they have to get permission just to open a casino.

Ain't no sense in denying it...this shit actually happened

Went up and took everything then has the nerve to sell it back to you for twice the price like Omar from the wire

I don't know, the indigenous people here got done pretty raw, too. I mean, they had both of their continents stolen from them and now they're relegated to second-class status. Damn, that's cold.

Sorry, bro, but I can't give the Rev any breaks. He's Barack's Fix-It man now.

Al fucks up from time to time...but his heart is in the right place

The struggle needs a voice, whether it's al or someone else willing to take up the burden

Instead of hating on al or black organizations such as the naacp or the congressional black caucus, why not hate the conditions for which gives them purpose

Good point. Hate the situation that creates the hustle, not the hustler. That's why I listen to these guys: http://www.blackagendareport.com/
